has the potential to be one of, if not the best running back in Class 5A this season. He had his breakout season last fall, running for well over 1,100 yards and 11 touchdowns. And if you look at the game logs, he really started to hit his stride during district play and he started rattling off 100+ yard games almost every week. Clark has made a massive jump from a physical standpoint as well. He simply looks like a player who can carry the ball 20-25 times a game and be that workhorse that the Buffaloes rely on. If this spring was any indication, Clark is about to have a monster 2025 season.

as the next guy up in the McAlester backfield at running back. Clark would end up being second on the team in rushing behind Ethan Watkins. Now that Watkins has graduated, it opens things up a little in the backfield and we could see Clark emerge as the top guy in this McAlester offense. Similar to Williamson, there is a lot of potential here with Clark. When we’ve seen him in person, he has routinely impressed us. Now, he looks to put everything together and take that next step this season. And just like Williamson, Clark could be primed for a big year and a breakout moment.

is a player that we’re keeping our eyes on moving forward. Right now, he’s splitting carries and waiting for his time to be the marquee back in this McAlester offense. But you can already see signs of him being that guy for the Buffaloes. We got a chance to see Clark in person back in the spring and he impressed. With the 2026 prospects, it’s still early on in their careers but we think that Clark has a lot of potential moving forward. Buy stock early on this McAlester standout.

was really impressive in the spring when we got a chance to see the Buffaloes in person. One thing we’re looking forward to seeing is when Clark takes direct snaps and just powers ahead. He had a lot of success doing that at the team camp we attended and it’s clear that he has good vision. It won’t be all that surprising if Clark puts up some big numbers and provides a spark for the McAlester offense this fall. Clark is definitely a player that is on our shortlist to be a breakout star in Class 5A this season.
