is another example of a very underrated playmaker that is coming back this season. Washington has been a standout for the Hornets since his sophomore season and he had a terrific junior season in 2024. One of the things that really impressed us about Washington’s junior season was his production in some of the toughest games of the year. It’s where Washington seemed to thrive and play some of his best football. Whether it’s as a traditional running back or making plays out of the backfield as a wide receiver, the senior standout gives Booker T Washington a very dangerous player to defend this season.

is our final prospect on this breakdown and coincidentally, it was about this time two years ago that Washington first got on our radar. Since then, he’s continued to prove that he’s one of the shiftier playmakers in Oklahoma and specifically in Class 5A. We got a chance to watch Washington and the Hornets in person just one time in 2024 and it was one of Washington’s best performances. He is so incredibly tough to contain and is an absolute nightmare to track down in the open field. He’s very underrated as a pass catcher and that makes him the complete weapon at the running back position. He’s definitely another name that college coaches need to have on their radar as we get closer to spring ball opening up.

emerged as a top performer at our Oklahoma tournament. Last year, Washington got on our radar for the first time by standing out in this tournament. This year, we were curious what he would do for an encore and he had a strong performance on the defensive side of the ball. Like Jones, Washington has the ability to impact either side of the ball in these 7v7 tournaments but this weekend, at least when we were watching, Washington was getting it done on the defensive side of the ball. The Hornet standout is a versatile athlete that has a very bright future. He came up big in the 18U championship game with pass breakups and nearly brought in an interception.

The Hornets have a few prospects in the 2026 class that emerged last fall as freshmen that should be among the best at their position in the ‘26 class. Running back

got on the field last fall and would end up having a major impact. He ran for over 400 yards and five touchdowns last season. And as the Hornets figure out some of the other skill positions, Washington is going to provide the Hornets with an electric player on that side of the ball. Washington, along with Ross is going to be a very fun tandem to watch in the Booker T Washington backfield. We watched the 2026 Hornet standout up close at our 7v7 tournament back in February and he was one of the top performers in his division, making play after play throughout the weekend.
