Several Bulldogs had big performances with 2025 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1293973' first='Kyree' last='Bunny'] earning our week two Offensive Player of the Week for his 6 catches for 150 yards and 4 touchdowns night against a talented Highlanders team. We bet on Bunny to have a big senior season during our summer rankings update and ranked him without much junior film to evaluate and he's proving us right through the first two weeks of the season.

Flores racked up 5.5 tackles for loss, blocked 2 extra point attempts in the 47-15 win, and was simply unblockable on Friday night. He's taken on a bigger role for the Bulldogs this season as a senior and has leveled up his game from his junior year. Flores shot the gaps at a high level the entire game and did a great job breaking down and preventing runners from gaining yards after contact. He played with high effort for 4 quarters and impacted the game in a variety of ways and his first D1 offer came the week before with a stock riser season brewing.

Vellaithambi plays with a level of consistency that may cause some to overlook his weekly dominance but that's why he has numerous D1 programs trying to earn his signature come Signing Day. He showed his typical dual-threat prowess with nearly 250 passing yards and 2 touchdowns with another 130 yards and 3 touchdowns as a runner. Hayes showed his dual-threat ability against University with an efficient 13/18 for 204 yards and a touchdown night while also adding 101 yards and another score on the ground. He handled rainy conditions well and let his playmakers on the outside go up and make things happen. Hayes will continue to develop as a passer as an unconventional and undersized quarterback but has the natural playmaking ability to put up some big numbers this season and next.

Dues hauled in just 4 receptions but totaled 114 yards and averaged over 28 yards per catch with a touchdown.
2025 Wheeling Park LB [player_tooltip player_id='908990' first='Jameson' last='Maynard'] continued his defensive dominance in a shortened loss against Spring Mills that lasted just two and a half quarters due to weather. Maynard was still able to total 12 tackles and 2 TFLs with a forced fumble in the game and has quickly become a stock riser this season for the Patriots. Making plays behind the line of scrimmage is the one area we wanted to see him progress in the most this season, and Maynard has answered the call with 4 TFLs through the first two games.

2027 Hedgesville QB [player_tooltip player_id='861657' first='Chaz' last='Milburn'] showed evidence of why he's currently ranked the #1 quarterback in the class in their week two win over Keyser. Milburn totaled 237 yards passing in the 28-21 win and was happy to have his top target back this week in 2025 WR [player_tooltip player_id='487105' first='Gavin' last='Young']. He's noticeably a year bigger and stronger since the flashes we saw from him as a freshman and is steadily progressing. Milburn looked poised on film with good pocket movement and delivered a pair of impressive corner route throws on film. He also trusted his receivers to go up and make a play on several of his passes which was good to see for a young QB. The Hedgesville schedule is about to become much tougher in the coming weeks and we'll be following to see if he can elevate his game against stiffer competition as the next step in his early career.

The (2-0) Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles will host (1-1) Parkersburg South on Friday night in what should be one of the best games of the week in Class AAAA. Woodrow Wilson looks to remain unbeaten and move to 3-0 on the season but Parkersburg South will have something to say about that. The Patriots improved from week one to week two with some new pieces this season that just need experience and time to settle in and could end up being a much different and better team come playoff time. On the flip side, Woodrow Wilson returns a lot of senior talent this season and could have one of their best teams in recent memory in 2024. They'll be difficult to prepare for in their Wing-T offense with some big bodies up front and playmakers on the outside when needed. South will be formidable foes in this matchup with the potential to play spoilers on Woodrow Wilson's home field but the Eagles should have the edge at this early stage of the season.
