Parkersburg South’s Eli Bartley showed a lot of promise as a junior for the Patriots in a limited role but got his chance as a senior to carry the load and did so impressively. Bartley rushed for 1,400 yards and 21 touchdowns this season and made the most of his lone season as the starting running back. He’s a gliding runner with a versatile build and skillset that you could label as an all-purpose RB. Bartley can outrace defenders down the sideline or get you physical yards between the tackles while also having natural receiving ability out of the backfield too from his receiver days.

Another 2025 running back without a posted college offer that programs need to get in on is Parkersburg South’s Eli Bartley.
He’s putting up big numbers while even missing some time due to injury and has stepped right in as the starter in the backfield which we expected from him. Bartley is a fluid athlete who is just as agile as he is fast which makes him a dynamic playmaker for the Patriots. He has breakaway speed but pairs it with tremendous footwork and will run hard between the tackles as well. Bartley is an intriguing prospect who could play receiver at the next level as well which he’s done at the high school level and is a versatile athlete deserving of more college looks.

16 carries 106 yards 5 touchdowns
2025 Parkersburg South RB Eli Bartley was in contention for Offensive Player of the Week for a great week two stat line against University in a good bounce-back game for the Patriots. Bartley rushed for 106 yards and scored 5 times on 16 carries in a weather-delayed night that didn’t affect his performance. He was very good in the red zone for the Patriots finishing drives for touchdowns and in tough field conditions in the second half. Bartley is off to a strong start to his senior year with 207 yards and 6 touchdowns on the ground.

this year. Bartley should be the Patriots’ go-to guy next season and showed a lot of good things in spot duty as a junior. He totaled over 1,000 all-purpose yards this season as a running back, receiver, and return man while also being the 6th-leading tackler on defense as a DB. Bartley may be ranked as an ATH in the future given how versatile he is in their offense but he’s a natural playmaker at the running back position. He has very good top-end speed and is very hard to catch when he gets in the open field. Bartley’s versatility and potential to break out in 2024 warranted a Top 85 overall ranking and the #10 ranked running back in the 2025 class.
