After a strong freshman campaign on their younger squads, Baruwa enters the year with a chance to earn a varsity role thanks to his ability as a receiving threat. His 6’2 205 frame already gives him the size to create matchup problems, and he has shown natural ball skills that make him an appealing target in the passing game. As his all-around game continues to develop, Baruwa has the potential to become one of the top young tight ends in West Virginia.

2029 Parkersburg South TE Titan Baruwa is one of the more intriguing young tight end prospects to follow after a strong freshman season on the Patriots’ freshman and JV teams. Baruwa spent much of his time functioning as a bigger receiving target, and that pass-catching ability was an encouraging aspect of his film. He tracked the ball well and looked capable of creating mismatches against smaller defenders. He already has the size to transition naturally into a full-time tight end role at 6’2 205 as he continues to develop. There is still more to learn about his ability as a blocker, but the receiving foundation is certainly there. If he can round out the rest of his game, Baruwa has the athleticism and frame to become a valuable weapon in the Patriots’ offense.
