About Kylan
Expert Analysis
Tyler Stevens | Prep Redzone Scout
Kylan is a transfer from Hurricane (WV). Coming from a state final four team in WV, Grace rushed for over 1,300 yards and 15 touchdowns. He’s a powerful runner who can mow over defenders. He covers the ball well and will be a dominant rusher in the redzone area. It will be interesting to see how different defenses in Ohio handle him.

is a well-rounded running back prospect with D1 interest whose power jumps off the screen on film. Currently ranked our #1 RB prospect in the 2026 class, Grace produced a great junior season for the Redskins rushing for over 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns on 7.2 yards per carry. He certainly has the speed to bust a long run down the sidelines, but Grace’s power between the tackles often breaking first and second contact is impressive. He’s a hard downhill runner who easily brushes off arm tackles and will consistently fall forward for extra yardage. Grace will often lower his shoulder and run over defenders while maintaining balance and is the type of running back that you don’t want to be on the receiving end of first contact.

stepped right back in as the Redskins’ starter at running back this season and had the season we expected from him. He’s consistently been a Top 2 RB in the 2026 class since his freshman year and picked up an offer from Marshall back in October. Grace rushed for nearly 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns this season as a versatile runner who can pound it between the tackles or out race defenders down the sidelines. You could label Grace as a power back but does have quality speed to break loose and is effective in the screen game as well. He consistently breaks arm tackles and brushes off first contact as a strong and powerful runner.

has a great opportunity to become the #1 running back in this class by season’s end which he once held a year ago. After some shakeup in the state with players transferring elsewhere, Grace is on the fast track to that #1 spot and was a Top Performer at our PRZ WV Combine this year. He’ll also benefit from Vellaithmabi moving back to quarterback and is in a position to be the Redksins’ workhorse this season after providing very good #2 reps as a sophomore. Grace still managed to rush for 500 yards and 8 touchdowns backing up Vellaithambi and could go over 1,000 yards as a junior. He’s a physically built athlete with enough speed at this stage of his development to create explosive runs and get to the corner.
Grace could form a great 1-2 punch this season with

heading into the Combine and he backed those high praises up during the event. Grace earned a Top 5 RB Performer spot for his strong showing and showed us and everyone else in attendance why he’s currently ranked in the Top 15 and the #2 running back in the 2026 class. He’s a bigger back than our first two mentions in the article and is a physically gifted-looking athlete for being just a sophomore. Grace moved well for his size and was still able to stand out without having the physicality of a normal game which is one of his biggest strengths as a player.
He flew under the radar a bit last season but is ready to give a bigger sample size of what he’s capable of in 2024 and 2025 for his junior and senior seasons.

. Grace has been thought of highly by us since our 2026 rankings debuted in the summer of 2023 and is currently considered a Top 15 prospect and the #2 RB in his class at this juncture. He had a strong sophomore season for the Redskins last season even with the emergence of 2025 QB/ATH

who became their bell cow at running back in 2023. Grace still managed to rush for 500 yards and 8 touchdowns as their #2 option but is poised to have a true breakout season in 2024 as a junior and should be their go-to guy at that position. Our question for him heading into the combine is how well will he test and how polished of a pass catcher is he as a RB prospect? Camps are always tough for running backs without there being contact or being able to truly run the ball. If he can prove he has that versatility to add to his running game, Grace can further cement himself as one of the top prospects in the 2026 class.
