2027 Rankings – Next Guys Up

And for the state's 2027 class, we're debuting the first batch of rankings. On Monday, <strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/oklahoma/rankings/2027-rankings/">we released the 2027 Top 25</a></strong> and throughout the week, we'll be putting the spotlight on different players and position groups. In this post, we're putting that spotlight on eleven prospects that don't have as much varsity experience but it's only a matter of time before they become bigger names within this class. After playing two quarterbacks in 2022, they upped it to three last fall. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='477643' first='Barrett' last='Standley'] could crack that lineup going into this fall. He's also a standout baseball player. Baker had a really good performance at our camp last month and got on our radar with his play. Baker got a handful of carries during his freshman season at the varsity level. He had a good freshman season and it seems like only a matter of time before he starts producing on the varsity level. Roberts performed really well at our camp last month and one thing we like about his game is he can flat out fly. The Titans were excited about the potential of this young freshman. But Matthews was also behind arguably the most accomplished running back in school history. We wrote about Tucker last week after he was one of the best defensive lineman prospects at our January camp. Tucker is undersized. It doesn't matter. We love what Deer Creek has coming up in their 2027 and 2028 classes. The Antlers have some absolute dudes coming up and freshman wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='523223' first='Gage' last='Gibbons'] is one of them. Similar to Tucker at Santa Fe, Gibbons had a really good showing at our January camp. Ford is a beast along the line of scrimmage and we mentioned it earlier this week, but we absolutely love the defensive line group in the 2027 class already. Adams had a really strong freshman season and earned team honors for his work on the defensive side of the ball. We really like some of the pieces that Norman North brings back for the 2024 season. [player_tooltip player_id='716513' first='Payton' last='Lang'] is going to be a quarterback to watch whenever Ficklin graduates and moves on to the D1 level. Last fall, Hayes was at Moore and had a really good showing in non-varsity action. He put up some monster numbers and took care of the football. But this offseason, Hayes has moved to Southmoore and with the Sabercats losing their two-year starter at quarterback, that's opened things up for Hayes to take over.","_player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_10_player":["1035103"],"_player_evaluations_10_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_10_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_10_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_10_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_10_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_10_evaluation":"Choctaw has a similar situation to Bixby where they have multiple guys on the depth chart that you can make an argument to crack the starting lineup or get significant playing time. The youngest is freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1035103' first='Titus' last='Hawk'] and physically, he certainly looks the part. Hawk stands around 6'5 or 6'6 and has an absolute rocket attached to his shoulder.
