Every Friday throughout the regular season on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, we're going to add three names to the Player Of The Year Watchlist. Be sure to check back every Friday to see who gets added to the Player Of The Year Watchlist and what the current watchlist players have done this season. This year's winner will be the fourth winner in our website's short history. The previous three winners were all juniors, including last year, but we have not had a repeat winner yet. The road to Edmond continues this week and so does the race for the 2023 PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year award!

Ficklin is coming off a dominant performance against Sand Springs. Ficklin threw for over 200 yards and a touchdown. He also finished with 171 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Ficklin is an outstanding athlete and he gave us a reminder of that with his impressive numbers on the ground on Friday night. Ficklin has put up some monster numbers in the passing and ground game this season. Ficklin is in his third season as the starter for the Roughers. He went from 2-8 as a freshman to 10-2 last season and now he has the Roughers as the top-ranked team in Class 6A-2 and the favorite to capture the state championship. The state's 2025 class is loaded at the QB position and Ficklin certainly belongs in the conversation at the very top.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["449039"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"The Elgin Owls are the best team that not enough people are talking about. After being a surprise team in Class 5A last season, the Owls brought back nearly everyone and are a legitimate threat in the 5A title race. Leading the way has been a balanced offense that has been highlighted by senior [player_tooltip player_id='449039' first='Matt' last='Lund'] at the running back position. Lund had another stellar performance last week in their district-opening win over El Reno. He ran for nearly 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also added a pair of touchdown receptions in the win. On the season, he's run for over 600 yards and six touchdowns and he also has over 100 receiving yards and four touchdowns. What's really impressive about Lund is he's produced at a high level despite splitting carries and most of Elgin's games have been over by halftime. They look to remain unbeaten on the season this week when they travel to face Ardmore.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["393973"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Westmoore standout and Houston commit [player_tooltip player_id='393973' first='Micheal' last='Graham'] has been one of the more electric football players in the state over the last month. And you can make the argument that he's coming off his best performance this season on Friday when he led the Jaguars to a rivalry win over Moore. Graham threw for over 150 yards and two touchdowns but it's what he's done on the ground that is special. Graham totaled over 250 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in the win. One opposing coach talked about Graham earlier this season and just how scary he is to defend on the field. When Graham starts to scramble around and look to beat a defense with his legs, that's incredibly hard to defend. He's committed to Houston as a defensive player and an overall athlete and that athleticism has been incredibly impressive to watch so far this season. Graham and the Jaguars visit Jenks on Friday night.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":3,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6515ecab3282a"} /-->
