But this offense showed no signs of taking a step back as they dominated Caney Valley in an 82-0 season opening win. And junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='968318' first='Canyon' last='Hindman'] is the latest Pawhuska quarterback to put up some monster numbers on the gridiron. In a limited performance, Hindman threw for nearly 300 yards and five touchdowns on just 10-12 passing. He also added two touchdowns on the ground. It's not a bad debut when half of your completions end with touchdowns for the Huskies.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["215199"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Jones looked dominant on Friday night as they beat Bethany in a match-up featuring ranked teams. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='215199' first='Clayton' last='Creasey'] continued to show why he's one of the better dual-threat quarterbacks in the state with a complete performance in the win. He threw for 224 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 15-23 passing. But with Creasey, he's always a threat to run the football and he finished with over 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Longhorns looked really good in their season opener and they'll need that momentum as they play host to Lincoln Christian Friday before the week two showdown with top-ranked Washington.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["402373"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Victory Christian got their 2023 season off with a great win on the road against Cascia Hall. Sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='402373' first='Dallas' last='Dyer'] was a player that we were excited to see this season after a really strong offseason. Dyer was at Broken Arrow last fall and looked to be an instant impact player in the Victory offense. It was a good start for the Victory sophomore. He finished with nearly 200 yards and a touchdown on just 13 carries. All in all, he had nearly 250 all purpose yards between rushing, receiving and he helped out in the return game. Dyer was a player that we thought could be a breakout player this fall and it appears that he's well on his way.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["188013"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Arguably the biggest win of week zero was Edmond Santa Fe going on the road and knocking off Jenks on Friday night. It's been well documented that the Wolves struggled in 2022, going 1-9 but they were destined for a big bounce back season. And junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='188013' first='Demarius' last='Robinson'] back on the field and healthy was a big reason for that narrative and he played like one of the best backs in the state on Friday. Against a tough Jenks defense, Robinson gashed them for nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries. Robinson and the Wolves made a very loud announcement to the rest of Class 6A-1 that they are back in a big way this fall.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["519610"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"We mentioned this following Bixby's 42-16 victory over Owasso on Thursday night but we'll repeat it here. Senior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='519610' first='Hank' last='Puckett'] was the best player on the field from start to finish. The senior finished with nearly 20 tackles on the night, which makes sense considering it felt like every other play he was either making the tackle or was in on the tackle. 11 of those 19 tackles were solo from the linebacker position. He had two tackles for loss and a sack as the Bixby defense was absolutely dominant for the first three quarters as they rolled to the week zero win. In our opinion, Puckett is one of the best linebackers in the state and he backed it up on a big stage.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["311986"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"One of our questions surrounding Washington was the running back position as they had to replace a very productive back from last year's state championship team. That is no longer a question as junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='311986' first='Hudson' last='Howard'] made a loud and immediate statement that the Washington rushing attack was going to be just fine. In their dominant 55-13 win over Vian, Howard would run for nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns on just eight carries. Half of his carries ended with Washington touchdowns on Friday night as the Warriors were dominant against Vian for the second straight year. Howard and the Warriors face another ranked team Friday with 3A's #3 Sulphur.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["382992"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"In one of the most explosive games of week zero, Sand Springs continued to own Highway 97 as they beat Sapulpa in a high-scoring affair. Just like last season, the Sandites could not be stopped on the ground and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='382992' first='Kenneth' last='Page'] torched the Chieftains again. Last season, he was a workhorse with nearly 40 carries. This season, he split time with another running back but still led the way with 161 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. The Sandites as a team ran for over 300 yards on Friday night and with some strong pieces on the offensive line and two very capable backs, that will be the recipe for success this fall.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["211565"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"Moore knocking off Edmond Memorial on Friday night was definitely one of the highlights in 6A-1 on Friday night. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211565' first='Malikai' last='Miller'], who moved to Moore this summer from Edmond Santa Fe, had a very strong start to his junior season. He finished with over 200 yards passing and a touchdown as well as 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Miller was hurt as a sophomore and also played a few different positions. He's earned the starting role with the Lions and he is off to a very fast start so far this season. Miller has impressed us in camp settings in the past and now he's translating that to success on Friday nights.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_8_player":["393974"],"_player_evaluations_8_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"Del City senior running back and Oklahoma State commit [player_tooltip player_id='393974' first='Rodney' last='Fields'] was the best football player on the field as the Eagles opened their season against Choctaw. The game ended in the third quarter when a shooting took place in the parking lot. It was a terrible ending to a game where the OSU commit was special every time he got the ball in his hands. Fields would finish the game with nearly 150 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He also took a kickoff back 90 yards for his fourth touchdown on the game. Fields, who moved to Del City from Southeast, showed just how explosive he could be in this revamped Del City offense.","_player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_9_player":["188014"],"_player_evaluations_9_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"Union junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='188014' first='Shaker' last='Reisig'] was one of our u0022Players To Watchu0022 heading into week zero as the Redhawks opened up the season against Westmoore. The Jaguars have a couple prospects in their secondary that will be playing D1 football but Reisig absolutely carved up the Westmoore defense in the season opener. Reisig finished with well over 300 yards and five touchdowns on 27-34 passing. All five touchdowns were to five different wide receivers. Reisig continues to be arguably the most efficient quarterback in the state and he showed why on Thursday night. He also added a rushing touchdown in the win.","_player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":10,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64eb8f81b0973"} /-->
OTHER NOTABLE PERFORMANCES

Ashton Wright - 2024 Running Back - Oologah

In Oologah's 56-20 victory over Fort Gibson, running back Ashton Wright could not be contained. Wright would finish the game with nearly 240 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries. Wright and the Mustangs got out to a fast start, leading 28-7 at halftime and they would roll to the easy week zero victory on Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='211569' first='Easton' last='Malone'] - 2025 Running Back - Barnsdall

Barnsdall junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='211569' first='Easton' last='Malone'] has been an absolute star for Barnsdall since his freshman season. He's been on our radar ever since and it's clear that he's one of the top running backs in Class B this season. Malone ran for over 300 yards and four touchdowns in their 74-46 season-opening win over Copan.

[player_tooltip player_id='898373' first='Jaxon' last='Worley'] - 2024 Quarterback - Kiefer

Kiefer senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='898373' first='Jaxon' last='Worley'] and the Trojans wasted little time lighting up the scoreboard as they would beat NOAH 62-36. Worley threw for 232 yards on 13-17 passing with four touchdowns. And he also added a rushing touchdown. He did all of this against a NOAH defense that features the top prospect in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='448519' first='Jaylen' last='Harper'] - 2024 Running Back - Guthrie

Guthrie senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='448519' first='Jaylen' last='Harper'] was another player that we mentioned on Thursday as a "Player To Watch" in week zero and he backed up the hype. In their 40-0 win over Ponca City, Harper ran for 127 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. His night was done by halftime as the Blue Jays rolled to the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='286908' first='Josh' last='Hendricks'] - 2024 Athlete - Rejoice Christian

Rejoice Christian opened their 2023 football season with a dominant win over Cashion in week zero. Senior and Air Force commit [player_tooltip player_id='286908' first='Josh' last='Hendricks'] had a complete preformance. On offense, he had 2 catches for 54 yards and a touchdown. On defense, he had five tackles and two interceptions, one of which he took back 103 yards for six.

[player_tooltip player_id='1088229' first='JP' last='Spanier'] - 2024 Running Back - Bishop McGuinness

Bishop McGuinness rolled to a week zero win over Putnam City on Friday night and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1088229' first='JP' last='Spanier'] had a complete game in the win. He finished with nearly 100 yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He also had eight receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown as a complete product on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='633074' first='Kylen' last='Edwards'] - 2024 Wide Receiver - Sapulpa

The Chieftains came up short in the Highway 97 rivalry game with Sand Springs but their passing game was firing on all cylinders. Senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='633074' first='Kylen' last='Edwards'] was outstanding for the Chieftains. He finished with seven catches for 173 yards and four touchdowns. Edwards is one of the top receivers in the Tulsa area and he showed why Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id='598828' first='Mark' last='Bishop'] - 2025 Athlete - Garber

Another outstanding 8-man standout is Garber junior [player_tooltip player_id='598828' first='Mark' last='Bishop'] and he led them to an easy win over Canton in week zero. Bishop barely touched the ball but couldn't be kept out of the end zone. He had six carries for 90 yards and three touchdowns and also had an 80-yard kick return for his fourth touchdown on the night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1083760' first='PJ' last='Riddley'] - 2024 Running Back - Heavener

Heavener stunned Pocola on Thursday night and senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1083760' first='PJ' last='Riddley'] was a big reason behind the close victory over the Class A ranked team. Riddley finished the game with well over 200 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. He was a workhorse with 33 carries on the night as they would knock off Pocola 33-32.

[player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] - 2026 Running Back/Defensive Back - Newcastle

In one of the top games in Class 4A this week, it was Newcastle beating Weatherford in a match-up of top ten teams. The Racers rolled to a 34-14 victory and sophomore running back and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='449184' first='TJ' last='Bradford'] was critical to the victory. He had 130 yards and two touchdowns and then five tackles and a handful of PBU's on defense.
