Sooner 7 had several teams make their way up to Springfield, Missouri for the latest Prep Redzone 7v7 tournament. This breakdown is taking a look at the 15U squad because they had several players stand out throughout the weekend, ranging from the 2028 class to even a couple 2030 prospects that shined.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136362' first='Harper' last='Slavonic'] - 2029 Quarterback - Heritage Hall

Heritage Hall 2029 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='2136362' first='Harper' last='Slavonic'] is one of two quarterbacks that played for the 15U squad this weekend. The biggest attribute that stood out to us about his play was how methodical he is. He dissects a defense, makes quick reads and rarely puts the ball in harm's way. He was moving the offense up the field at a consistent pace. The accuracy was really high from him as well. Slavonic saw limited varsity time last fall for the Chargers. But he's expecting to compete for the starting job this fall. He's had a really solid offseason as he's performed pretty well in our tournaments as well as our showcase last month.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550680' first='Isaac' last='Spiwak'] - 2029 Wide Receiver - Carl Albert

Carl Albert 2029 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1550680' first='Isaac' last='Spiwak'] is a prospect that we first started watching while he was in middle school. You could see flashes of what he could be on the offensive side of the ball then and fast forward a few years and he's still making plays in these 7v7 tournaments. Spiwak had a really good weekend in Missouri. He brings a high IQ to the football field and knows what he's doing when he's running routes. He runs them at a high level but he also knows when to sit down in a soft spot in the defensive zone. He finds the open space in a defense and exploits it in a big way. A breakout moment on Friday's could be coming for Spiwak.

[player_tooltip player_id='1834568' first='John' last='Paul Lundquist'] - 2028 Athlete - Norman North

Norman North 2028 two-way standout [player_tooltip player_id='1834568' first='John' last='Paul Lundquist'] continues to find a way to stand out at Prep Redzone events. This weekend, Lundquist looked like one of the best athletes in the 15U division. He had a really strong weekend and that just continues his momentum this offseason. Lundquist is a 2028 prospect that we're very intrigued by moving forward. He can make plays at the wide receiver position and then turn around and play really well in the secondary at safety. We just did a lot of 2028 prospect breakdowns but Lundquist is one that could sky rocket up those rankings by the end of this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136365' first='Jordan' last='McFarlin'] - 2030 Athlete - Bixby

Bixby has another dog coming up through their program. 2030 two-way standout [player_tooltip player_id='2136365' first='Jordan' last='McFarlin'] was playing up with the 15U squad this weekend and he looked like he belonged with guys a year or two older than him. He's a really good athlete that is very smooth for his age. He also showcased really good spacial awareness and then has very reliable routes when he's playing offense. He was also making plays on defense and is another name to just keep an eye on as he moves into the high school ranks. He has a high ceiling moving forward and there's a lot of potential for him to be an impact player for the Spartans in the future.

Kentrell Jones - 2030 Defensive Back - Muskogee

Muskogee's Kentrell Jones was another 2030 prospect that was playing up with Sooner 7 this weekend. Not only was Jones playing up an age division or two, this was also one of his first tournaments with Sooner 7. Not bad for the first tournament because he really stood out on the defensive side of the ball at cornerback. The thing that stands out to us the most about him is just how natural of an athlete he looks. His movement and overall glide just looked natural throughout the weekend. And when you combine that with his overall speed and leaping ability, there's no telling how high his ceiling can be as a pure athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='2106201' first='Tavin' last='Ware'] - 2029 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Stillwater

We've said this before but Stillwater's 2029 class has dudes in it! [player_tooltip player_id='2106201' first='Tavin' last='Ware'] is another example of a guy in that 2029 class that can be an impact player on both sides of the ball. Ware first stood out to us at our showcase camp last month. He continued to impress this weekend in Springfield. Ware stands out on offense at wide receiver and then turns around and does the same thing at corner. Offensively, Ware has strong hands and is incredibly smooth with his route running. Defensively, he shows a lot of technical ability when covering guys in a one on one situation. We're looking forward to seeing more of him moving forward.
