QB’s
It feels like Currid has been around this league forever and now with his senior year upon us, he has the opportunity to have a special season. Currid had a monster junior year easily surpassing 3,000 yards through the air. The confident lefty has a strong arm and is a great decision maker. He has a ton of amazing weapons back in this offense. He has a combination of big, physical receivers and some speedsters to stretch the field. Look for Currid to have a special senior year.
Highlights
One of the most exciting 2025 prospects in all of New York state. Belin built off a good sophomore year with a monster summer. During the Stony Brook 7v7 playoffs, every drive he led resulted in a touchdown. Belin has a cannon of an arm and he’s also the most athletic quarterback in this league. He will make a ton of plays with his legs and you can expect Belin to do amazing things outside of the pocket. He has receivers returning with more experience under their belts and a good offensive line for his junior season
Highlights
The signal caller for Holy Trinity will be counted a ton this upcoming year. Rainone has good accuracy and some of the best timing I saw from the elite quarterbacks on Long Island. I think people will be surprised when they see Rainone’s running ability on display a little bit more. He has underrated athleticism, and despite losing Josiah Brown Josiah Brown 5’11” | 175 lbs | WR Malverne | 2024 State NY he has a ton of options at receiver. Rainone will be throwing the ball to 4 of the fastest players in the AAA.
RB’s
When Osbourne gets into space he consistently makes plays. Last year I can confidently say he was one of the most elusive running backs in the entire catholic league. Osbourne is a smooth runner who makes tacklers miss with ease. He also had good size at 6’1 and 200 pounds. He’s a threat both on the ground and in the receiving game. The recent Monmouth commit will be an entertaining prospect this season.
Highlights
The senior tailback for Cardinal Hayes will be the workhorse in this backfield and he has the ability to put together a huge season. I love the speed and vision that Antoine has and now this fall he will have more chances to pull off big runs. The majority of his offensive line returns and now they have much more experience and chemistry together. We should see a lot more holes open up and that’s when Antoine will pull up a ton of big plays.
Highlights
The Bucknell lacrosse commit is one of the most underrated running backs in New York. He plays with a lot of grit and toughness. Tully has amazing north-south speed and broke away some big runs behind a good offensive line. When I saw him this summer, he confirmed he’ll be one of the fastest players in this league and he’ll be the “go to guy” in this offense.
The Moore Catholic workhorse will be one of the top 2025 prospects in New York this season. He has the elusiveness and pure speed to string along another impressive season. He is one of the most talented players in this league and he’s already picked up offers from Maryland, Buffalo and several other FBS schools. Look out for him to put up a big statistical season and potentially lead Moore Catholic to their first ever AA-1 title.
WR’s
The top overall player in New York was a no brainer for this list. St Anthony’s will try to get him the ball anyway possible this upcoming season. Duff’s elite size, hands and route running will make him incredibly tough to stop. Last year we saw how dangerous he was in the open field and he got a lot more athletic. The Rutgers commit will be one of the most entertaining players in the northeast
Highlights
Because of all the weapons that Stepinac has, you will see Jahi Gary Jahi Gary 6’5″ | 200 lbs | WR Archbishop Stepniac | 2024 State NY in single coverage and he often makes teams pay. At 6 foot 5, he is very long and he has terrific hands. He does a good job controlling and adjusting his body to make impressive catches. He’s a physical receiver that can catch and block, I’m expecting him to have a huge season in a loaded Crusaders offense.
Highlights
Now stepping in as the top target for Holy Trinity, Simpson will show how deadly of a wide receiver he is. His ability to create separation is some of the best in the entire catholic league. He picked up an offer from Troy this summer and I can see other group of 5 schools following. Simpsons blazing speed will give defenses a ton of issues.
Highlights
Every 7v7 I went to this summer was filled with DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6’4″ | 180 lbs | WR St. John The Baptist | 2024 State NY making plays. He is a matchup nightmare at 6 foot 4. In the red zone, he was borderline unstoppable when throwing up 50-50 balls his way. But I was also really impressed with Lisbon in open space. He’s starting to put it all together and St John’s will put him in situations to succeed this upcoming season.
Highlights
The top receiver in all of Staten Island will be relied upon heavily this upcoming season. He led Farrell in yards and I could see him being one of the top players in that category for the entire catholic league this season. He has impressive run after catch ability and his smooth route running will guide him to an even bigger senior year
Highlights
TE
One of the most productive players this summer. Menghi will be one of the most complete prospects in the state and he is comfortably the number 1 tight end in New York. Menghi was an amazing blocker last year, he got his nose dirty and made a ton of little plays to help the Friars succeed. This season he will be a reception machine and a matchup nightmare for linebackers.

This season I think we’ll see Jameer “The Bull” Reeder all over the field for the Titans. He’ll be a workhorse running back while also making plays on defense and wherever Holy Trinity needs him. He is easily pound for pound one of the toughest and one of the most productive football players in all of New York. He will have a great all around senior season.
Highlights
Offensive Line
There have been very few players this summer that have gotten the attention thast Byrne has received. He has solidified himself as the top New York prospect in the class of 2025 and the top schools have noticed. He’s received offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Florida State and other top schools in the nation. Byrne had an excellent sophomore year and he will be a machine during his junior year
Highlights
One of the most athletic lineman in the entire catholic league. I was very impressed with how dominant Mann was in both pass blocking and run blocking. At the downstate classic, I saw how physical he was to win reps against big defensive lineman. With a varsity season under his belt, I think Mann’s potential will show and he’ll explode onto the scene and get lot of college looks
Highlights
The class of 2025 is filled with elite offensive lineman in this league and now this is Stepinac’s top player up front. Williams has excellent size and is able to move extremely well in space. He uses his hands well and is now stepping into a leadership role for the Crusaders up front. At the tackle position, he was a great pass protector last year and we will see plenty of that this upcoming season.
Highlights
Last year Dowling started every single game at center for the Friars and he was very consistent. He did a great job opening up holes for the run game and he was solid in pass protection last year. I’m expecting Dowling to be a leader of this now experienced offensive line and he will be one of the most productive centers in the entire league.
The senior with several FCS offers is another talented lineman for Cardinal Hayes. He has amazing versatility showing that he can play either guard or tackle. He’s got great height at 6’4 and is very long. He should be a terrific pass blocker this year for a Cardinal Hayes offense that will sling the ball all over the field
Highlights
The backbone of the Holy Trinity offensive line. Costa has a huge responsibility at center for a “thinner” Trinity team up front and he does a phenomenal job. He finishes his blocks against good defensive lineman and he opens up space for Jameer Reeder Jameer Reeder 5’10” | 180 lbs | ATH Holy Trinity | 2024 State NY to run wild. Look for Costa to be the Titans top offensive lineman all year long.
