Another 4 year varsity player who just finished up a legendary career. Duff, who just signed with Rutgers, tore it up during his senior season. He registered 55 catches for 929 yards and 9 touchdowns. He will go down as one of the best players to ever come through this league. The state’s top player was a nightmare to guard anywhere on the field. His big time size was accompanied by elite hands and route running which allowed him to always be open. Duff totaled 26 touchdowns in his last three seasons with the Friars.

The top overall player in New York was a no brainer for this list. St Anthony’s will try to get him the ball anyway possible this upcoming season. Duff’s elite size, hands and route running will make him incredibly tough to stop. Last year we saw how dangerous he was in the open field and he got a lot more athletic. The Rutgers commit will be one of the most entertaining players in the northeast

Duff stepped out onto the field and he proved why he’s the top ranked player in the state. There was a stretch where the Westhampton defense was playing terrific and shutting down the Friars but that all stopped very quickly. Duff had a sequence of plays where he took over for St Anthony’s. His run after catch ability is so underrated, after he caught a pass over the middle, Duff made a man miss and he was off to the races. He then showed why his redzone presence is some of the best in the tri state area as he caught a couple of short TD’s

This summer has been the KJ Duff show when it comes to a national scale. He dominated at OT7, which featured some of the best high school football players in the country. After putting on a clinic during the 7v7 circuit, Duff returned with his high school team and showed why he’s one of the nations best players. Against Sayville, there was a stretch of 4 plays where it was “Duff Time”. He had 3 amazing catches including a deep pass where he did what he does best, he caught a 50/50 ball over a defender for a touchdown. Anything that was in his direction, he came down with it. Duff simply showed that he was on another level than the rest of the field.

My #1 player in the class continues to get love across the nation. Duff Jr since, his initial inclusion in the first part of our recruiting spotlight has received offers from Duke, Miami, Boston College, and Purdue all in April and was named a 4-star by On3. Duff Jr. continues to get national love it seems like that Miami offer was a big one for the WR/TE from St. Anthony’s.

is not only the best wide receiver in the state but he is the best player in New York. If you have any uncertainty about Duff Jr just go watch what he did in the NYCHSFL AAA Championship Game here. Duff Jr is dominant and while he could transition to tight end at the next level he lines up at receiver for St. Anthony’s so that is where he gets ranked. Duff Jr has elite length and size, his ability to high point the football, and make contested catches. Duff Jr is a really solid route runner and can create seperation at all levels of the field. Duff Jr is an electric playmaker and his catch radius is not only on an elite level for New York but for the entire nation. Duff Jr also is a really solid blocker in space as a receiver and can be an effective lead blocker both on screens and outside run plays. Duff Jr simply has little to no holes in his game and I would expect another dominant season from the St. Anthony’s star even though his QB

While Duff wasn’t at the 7v7 tryout I attended, once I got the word he was on this team he had to make an appearance in this article. This was a game changing addition for this 3rd and 10 team heading into the 7v7 circuit. The talented wide receiver played for RAW 7v7 during the off season. That team consisted of some of the best high school football players in the country including Duff’s former rival Ellis Robinson who recently committed to Georgia. Duff brings just about everything to the table as a wide receiver. At 6 foot 5 he is a serious matchup problem for any defensive player. He’ll be lining up on the outside or the slot for Third and 10 and he’ll be making plays. His footwork and hands are on a different level and I’m not sure if you will see many cornerbacks that will be able to handle Duff in the 7v7 season.
