Menghi – the top TE prospect in the class and one of the many skill position players from a 2022 St. Anthony’s State Championship team to play Division 1 football is a really solid add for Stony Brook. Menghi enrolled early and has already participated in spring ball and can be a true in-line tight end for the Seawolves and be a consistent blocker and threat as a receiver with true 3-down ability at the position.

One of the most productive players this summer. Menghi will be one of the most complete prospects in the state and he is comfortably the number 1 tight end in New York. Menghi was an amazing blocker last year, he got his nose dirty and made a ton of little plays to help the Friars succeed. This season he will be a reception machine and a matchup nightmare for linebackers.

There’s a reason why he’s the top tight end in New York. Menghi is a star and during a stretch of these 7v7’s he found himself consistently wide open and was able to make plays for his team. Last year his blocking was what impressed me the most, he was a hard nosed tight end getting it done in all aspects of the game. But now with those senior graduating and with how he’s been performing this summer, his receiving numbers will be boosted tremendously. He will be a matchup nightmare for every team in the catholic league. He has also displayed leadership qualities during the 7v7. Now going into his senior year, Menghi and Korey Duff will be the leaders of this offense.

The top tight end in the state has made his decision to play at Stony Brook after his senior year. Menghi was always one of the top prospects in the state for the 2024 class and now the Stony Brook commit will look to put together a special senior season. Menghi is a do it all guy and he is one of the leaders for this St Anthony’s team. He’ll get more targets as a receiver this year as he’s shown to be a matchup nightmare during the camps he attends this summer. Menghi will also continue to be one of the best blocking tight ends in the tri state area, watch out for him this fall.

Unquestionably the top tight end in this pod. At 6 ‘4 and the way Menghi moves was a little bit too much for linebackers most of the day. He had one of the best reps of the afternoon when he showed off his leaping ability and high pointed the ball really well for an amazing contested catch. When linebackers tried to get physical with him, it didn’t matter as he was able to control his matchup and come away with a productive day.

. Menghi has very sure hands and does a good job of utilizing solid athleticism to get yards after the catch. Menghi can line up in a three-point stance on the line or in the slot as a receiver showing his versatility and he runs very solid routes in the short area of the field. As a blocker, there may not be a tight end more refined than Menghi. He does a solid job of blocking from multiple different alignments and has the strength to handle defensive lineman. Menghi also can be utilized as a lead blocker where he often showed really solid pop in his initial engagement with defenders. Menghi is an extremely well rounded prospect and this year with the loss of offensive weapons St. Anthony’s will experience I expect Menghi to get a ton of looks this season as teams try and figure out how to shut down

certainly needs more attention. He was one of the most versatile players in the catholic league this past season. At 6’4 200 pounds, Menghi was able to do a little bit of everything. On run plays, he was one of the key blockers for St Anthony’s. The physical tight end was so important in helping this Friars run game excel throughout the season. When he wasn’t getting it done in the trenches, he was a big vertical threat. Menghi proved he’s a great receiver and next year he is going to break out in the passing game.

At 6’4 he was a great safety outlet for Dante Torres Dante Torres 6'3" | 190 lbs | QB St. Anthony's | 2023 State NY , as he caught every target he had. Menghi’s run blocking ability was shown off all year. His ability at 6’4 200 pounds to block defensive ends, and being a great receiving threat is an asset any team would love. With a couple of the top receiving options graduating, look for Menghi to catch a lot more passes and have an incredible senior year in both blocking and receiving.
