A defensive prospect by trade, my notes on Kamari Shelton made me think that he either took reps along the offensive line or ended up switching positions. In a very specific moment of time, Shelton showcased a good, powerful kick step; however, he must be reminded to get that foot down quickly, especially at his height, for fear of defenders getting under his pads.

Shelton is another name who can top the charts in New York. Another Friar as well, the football legacy will play as an EDGE rusher this season. He showed elite hands, and a beautiful display of tools which he used to reach the backfield. He has no offers as of yet but I feel them coming soon. Shelton is an elite prospect who definitely can top the NY charts.

Kamari Shelton – a serious case could be made in favor of Shelton winning Defensive Line MVP. Straight up won the most 1v1 reps of any defensive lineman present. An offer ready 2030 in the Northeast who will be attending Saint Anthony’s High School. I would have liked to see Shelton compete against some of the behemoth offensive tackle prospects present, yet he worked inside primarily at this event. Opposing guards and centers could not keep up with this young man’s speed, lateral agility, and limb length. Fantastic overall performance either way.

- Shelton entered the afternoon wearing #23 during The Rize. He is an impressive prospect who will suit up and likely start for St. Anthony’s this fall.
Shelton was a massive force working with the D-Line. He mainly was an interior rusher, but he can play inside and outside. He was quick off the line, and I liked his use of hands the tool bag he was bale to deploy when rushing. According to my colleague Vic Castillo Vic Castillo 6'3" | 220 lbs | ATH/QB Central | 2028 NY , Shelton was very close to winning his group MVP.

Shelton has a Football lineage with his father also playing ball back in the day. The monster DL Prospect will also attend St. Anthony’s in the fall, and offers are not far away for the EDGE/DL Prospect. Watch out for him during DL reps this weekend.

is an outstanding edge player who is out of the 2030 class in New York. Shelton has tremendous length and size already. He is only going to continue developing on his frame and it’s only going to make him scarier for opponents. He has earned his spot in the biggest middle school event in the Country going down this summer and Shelton is without a doubt going to shine at the “RIZE” in Jersey come June 27th! Excited to hear about how this one does once it’s concluded in Jersey!

This dude is huge. Huge. Likely bigger than the 6’2, 225 he’s listed at. Like I said in Luke’s eval, most of projecting athletes is body type, muscle, and frame. And just like Luke-Kamari has got all 3. He projects as an EDGE in my opinion, he’s got the twitch and first step to dominate o-lineman at the high school level. He’s got surprising bend for a kid that’s 225 and class of 2030. Most high school EDGE prospects can get away with athleticism and running through lineman, but if he can speed up his hands, and hit offensive lineman a little harder he can really get a leg up on other EDGE prospects of his caliber. He’s got the foundation to be an elite prospect, the polishing will be the cherry on top.
