Dunn, a mainstay on the Cardinal Hayes offense that easily worked its way to being the New York State catholic league champions has the size, movement skills, and experience at a high level in high school to be a very competitive player for the Sharks.

The senior with several FCS offers is another talented lineman for Cardinal Hayes. He has amazing versatility showing that he can play either guard or tackle. He’s got great height at 6’4 and is very long. He should be a terrific pass blocker this year for a Cardinal Hayes offense that will sling the ball all over the field

Dunn was on my radar last season but like many OL this fall and summer just shot up the rankings with really solid performances.  Dunn has really good strength and some of the best pass sets in the CHSFL. The competition he goes against is strong and proven and there is a really good background of strong tape that showcases a well-rounded blocking skillset. Dunn is one of the top returning CHSFL players.

Dunn just got his first offer from Long Island University and has received some early interest from Central Connecticut State, Columbia, Monmouth, Marist, Fordham, Lafayette, Princeton, and has taken visits at Holy Cross and Villanova.

At the next level, Dunn will project as a tackle because of his length at 6-4 with a 6-6 wingspan. Dunn does a really solid job of of engaging defenders and using his feet to drive them backwards. In pass protection, Dunn does a good job of maintaining his responsibilities as a pass protector and not being overaggressive at the point of engagement. In the run game, Dunn does a good job of using leverage to win and has the physicality to win and make tough blocks on defensive tackles.

Dunn does a great job as a mauling blocker and finishing lineman to the ground. Dunn uses his length to excel in pass protection and does a great job of using good foot speed to win against much quicker smaller defensive lineman or blitzers on the inside. Dunn has the size, athleticism, and mauling ability to really shine throughout the summer and his ability to take guys to the ground is some of the best there is in New York. Not much of a better way for OL to stand out than taking guys down to the ground, especially in 1v1 matchups during the offseason.

Dunn has really solid positional versatility and can play any position along the offensive line. Dunn has great strength and his ability to move defenders down field in both pass protection as a run blocker is one of his best traits. In pass protection Dunn does a good job of using his length to his advantage and even getting defenders to the ground. Dunn is a well rounded athlete with smooth fundamentals and he does a great job of being consistent across multiple positions.
