Some guys here are very established recruits whose names are recognized nationally, while others are just starting to kick off their journey of being recruited at the D1 level.
Korey Duff Jr Korey Duff Jr 6’6″ | 205 lbs | WR St. Anthony’s | 2024 State NY could be one of the hottest prospects in the entire nation, with 10 offers already in 2023 to bring him to a growing total of 18 offers for the TE/WR from St. Anthony’s. Duff Jr holds offers from West Virginia, Vanderbilt, UCF, Tulane, Texas A&M, Temple, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Miami (OH), UMass, Maryland, Kansas, Georgia Tech, East Carolina, UConn, Charlotte, North Carolina and Arizona State. Since the season ended Duff Jr has taken unofficial visits to Texas A&M, North Carolina and Florida State.
Highlights
Caden Brown Caden Brown 6’4″ | 215 lbs | LB Erasmus Hall | 2024 State NY is another hot 2024 prospect adding 7 offers so far in 2023 bringing his total offers to 15. Brown has offers from Boston College, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Liberty, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Temple, West Virginia, and Washington. Brown has visited Rutgers, West Virginia, Texas A&M, Texas, and Penn State so far this year.
Highlights
Tyrell Simmons Tyrell Simmons 6’3″ | 190 lbs | WR University Prep | 2024 State NY jumped on the National Recruiting scene in 2023 with a 3-star ranking on 247sports. While I have known about Simmons for a while he is starting to get some really quality recruiting attention picking up offers from Buffalo, Maine, New Hampshire and Stony Brook in 2023. Simmons now has 5 total offers which are the 4 schools who have jumped into his recruitment this year and Campbell who offered him last fall. Simmons has some cool interest from Monmouth, Penn State, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech according to 247sports and that would come to no surprise considering Simmons level of play.
Highlights
Eddie Palumbo Eddie Palumbo 6’4″ | 210 lbs | LB Archbishop Stepinac | 2024 State NY just got his first offer and it comes from UPenn after a Junior Day visit. Palumbo also has visited Yale and Dartmouth on Junior Day visits and it looks like this offer from Penn could kick start some serious Ivy League interest.
Highlights
Lathan Hudson Lathan Hudson 6’7″ | 310 lbs | OL Christ The King | 2025 NewE has had a solid start to 2023 with a couple D1 visits and his first D1 offer from Stony Brook. Hudson took some trips to Pittsburgh and West Virginia after finishing up a strong season at Christ the King playing Tackle.
Deonté Douglas Deonté Douglas 6’0″ | 185 lbs | DB Archbishop Stepinac | 2024 State NY picked up his first offer from Rhode Island right after the season concluded but things are starting to heat up again for the top safety in New York. Stony Brook, Monmouth, New Hampshire, Columbia, Miami (OH), Delaware, Temple, and Merrimack have all reached out to Douglas and invited him to practices, Junior Days, or shown interest. Douglas also just picked up his second offer from Long Island University.
Highlights
Mike Dunn Mike Dunn 6’4″ | 280 lbs | OL Cardinal Hayes | 2024 State NY is quickly becoming one of the most sought after lineman in New York. Dunn just got his first offer from Long Island University and has received some early interest from Central Connecticut State, Columbia, Monmouth, Marist, Fordham, Lafayette, Princeton, and has taken visits at Holy Cross and Villanova.
Highlights
Matthias Lighten Matthias Lighten 6’0″ | 180 lbs | ATH Moore Catholic | 2024 State NY has been trending upward for a while but his recruitment has officially blown open with recent offers from Toledo, Sacred Heart, Fordham, Rhode Island, and UMass in addition to offers from LIU & Temple last season. Lighten’s is one of the most sought after prospects right now from FCS schools but could make a jump up with some spring and summer visits and juniors days to Penn State, Coastal Carolina, Buffalo, Maryland, and Rutgers.
Highlights
A late addition to this article, Bobby Galindo Bobby Galindo 6’3″ | 295 lbs | OL South Side | 2024 State NY picked up his first offer from Long Island University. I am really high on Galindo and this is likely will kickstart him being one of the most sought after offensive lineman in this class by colleges at the next level.
