I was excited to see Lisbon’s senior year and he lived up to the hype. At 6’4 he was a matchup nightmare for defensive backs. He torched elite defenders week in and week out. He made defenders look silly and was one of the best jump ball receivers in the state. He had a special performance in the AA-1 title game with two touchdowns, 1 interception and a number of key receptions. He became bigger and faster, and he will certainly make a big impact at the next level rn

Every 7v7 I went to this summer was filled with DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2024 State NY making plays. He is a matchup nightmare at 6 foot 4. In the red zone, he was borderline unstoppable when throwing up 50-50 balls his way. But I was also really impressed with Lisbon in open space. He’s starting to put it all together and St John’s will put him in situations to succeed this upcoming season.

You have to put him in the conversation with the top receivers on Long Island. At 6 ‘4 and the elusiveness Lisbon has is special. His footwork has gotten noticeably much better and Lisbon’s release was great against some talented defensive backs from Hills East and St Anthony’s. He was catching passes all over the field and of course he impressed in the red zone. Lisbon leaped higher than his defender and came down with a difficult catch against Sayville. If he’s consistent this year, it’s going to be scary for catholic league teams. Look out for Lisbon to put up good numbers and make some highlight reel plays.

St John the Baptist has built a team that could contend for a championship this year and DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2024 State NY is going to be one of the crucial pieces to a talented offense. Lisbon has been incredible on the 7v7 circuit this summer with his squad (Live 7v7). At 6 foot 4 he has been an issue for so many cornerbacks this summer. Lisbon has made some highlight reel plays and some catches that would get the entire event to rise in excitement. He has the ability to be one of the top red zone threats in all of New York this season. At these 7v7 tournaments he’s been phenomenal when it comes to bringing down the ball for a huge play for his team.

DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2024 State NY has all the promise in the world with his frame and athleticism. The St. John’s the Baptist offense should be a dangerous one this season with Lisbon at WR1 and a full season of the same QB under center. Lisbon has a great 50/50 ball ability that could be the second or third best in this class. Where he excels is some really nice releases off the LOS and utilizing his footwork to make catches on the sideline. Expect some highlight reel stuff from Lisbon this fall.

Last year when Jayson Zeva Jayson Zeva 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2023 State NY was the number one target, he broke school records. Now it’s DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2024 State NY ‘s turn to step into the spotlight as the number one wide receiver for the Cougars. At 6’4 he creates mismatches for defensive backs all across the league. He made a number of really tough catches throughout his junior season. Lisbon showed that he was a threat downfield, whether it was using his size or using his speed, he was consistently getting the job done. But he wasn’t just a deep threat, the lengthy receiver showed his ability to take screen passes and fight for extra yards to help his team move the chains.

DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2024 State NY continues the theme of a dominant class of 2024 pass catchers who showcase elite length and the ability to make contest catches down the field. Lisbon does a good job not only using that size and stature to his advantage but has some really underrated quickness and twitch for his size. Lisbon has really solid releases of the line of scrimmage and is very impressive after the catch. Lisbon does a good job of winning of the line of scrimmage than tracking the ball down the field when in press man coverage. Lisbon also has really good sideline awareness where he is really good at getting his feet down in bounds and securing the catch. I would like to see Lisbon create some more seperation at every level of the field but right now his catch radius and ability to make contested catches are up their with the best receivers in this class.

DJ Lisbon DJ Lisbon 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR St. John the Baptist | 2024 State NY is a long lanky athletic receiver who is one of the best contested catchers in this class. Lisbon does a good job of getting to the high point of the football and making catches with defenders attached to his hip. Lisbon does a really good job of creating seperation of the release and has really good quickness. Lisbon’s best routes and plays come down the field but he does have some tape of being effective in the short and intermediate areas. Lisbon is solid after the catch and has the long stride breakaway speed to create extra yards down the field. Lisbon is mostly used only the sideline where he has great sideline awareness and keeps his routes in a spot where he is able to easily make plays in bounds but near the sidelines.
