Belin, who ended up with 25+ offers, the second most offers in this class, finalized his decision this past week, picking Syracuse after they offered Belin in June and bringing him on an official visit. Belin had narrowed down that extensive list of schools to just a few but excelled at the Cardinal Hayes show day and throughout the spring workout season coming off his Gatorade Player of the Year season, where Hayes brought home the CHSFL State Championship. Belin is the 4th straight Cardinal Hayes QB to end up at an FBS School. That list includes his Brother Henry Belin IV (Duke), Soffian Massoud (Houston), and Christian Anderson (Army).

A strong week for Belin as he picked up even more D1 opportunities this time coming from Holy Cross, Navy, and Syracuse. By my count, I believe that Belin has hit the 20+ D1 offer mark something only a couple of NY prospects can say.

There is a large gap between QB1 and the rest of the field for good reason.
Belin who will have a busy summer of official visits is one of the most sought after D1 prospects with 20+ offers. His playmaking ability is evident and he has one of the strongest arms in the northeast.
Although a smaller player – this recruitment could play out like former Iona Prep and current Rutgers QB Ajani Sheppard.
Both Belin and Sheppard led their teams to CHSFL State Championships as Juniors and both were highly sought after by FCS and G5 School.
Based off of my film evaluation and seeing Belin throw live multiple times – I think he can play at the P4 level and has film where P4 teams could jump in late in the process.
He has the arm talent and can really push the ball down the field. He also possesses the poise and athleticism to make extremely difficult plays under pressure.

The New York state player of the year had a special campaign with Cardinal Hayes. In the playoffs led his team to 4 straight wins against top 25 ranked opponents in the state. Belin threw for over 3,000 yards and 30 touchdowns. He also added 1,351 yards and 19 touchdowns with his legs. He was the ultimate game changer against some of the best defenses in the state. Belin’s ability to improvise and extend plays is second to none. His arm talent and running ability makes him the top dual threat quarterback in the state.

There is no doubt that Belin has that “it” factor to him. Whenever he’s outside of the pocket, the opposing teams get nervous because he’ll either make a fantastic play with his arm or take off with his legs. He did both of those things against Archbishop Stepinac as he led his team to a fantastic win. Belin had 4 rushing touchdowns in this one. His vision and special elusiveness led him to the endzone constantly. He also made one of the best throws I’ve seen this season. With a linebacker taking him down, Belin finds a way to stand up and fire a missile off balance to his teammate for a long gain. Belin’s arm strength, athleticism and the ability to create game changing plays makes him one of the best QB’s in the state.
