Reeder the RB/LB from Holy Trinity has a long list of accolades and success at multiple levels of the NYCHSFL. With the skillset to develop on either side of the ball and likley a big special teams contributor Reeder has good instincts as a runner and LB and showcases good quickness and change of direction in his overall game. A college weight room may decide what side of the ball he plays on but Reeder has proven production and positional versatility for several years in New Yorks best high school league.

Pound for pound one of the toughest and most talented players in the state. Reeder didn’t have the flashy stats this year but he was excellent when he had the opportunity to make plays. As Jameer “The Bull” Reeder lived up to his nickname on both sides of the ball. On offense he had another good year at running back against some great defenses. On the other side of the ball, he was the heart and soul for the Titans at linebacker. The physical senior was all over the field making an impact.

This season I think we’ll see Jameer “The Bull” Reeder all over the field for the Titans. He’ll be a workhorse running back while also making plays on defense and wherever Holy Trinity needs him. He is easily pound for pound one of the toughest and one of the most productive football players in all of New York. He will have a great all around senior season.

In the individual running back drills, Reeder stuck out with how explosive he was. We knew in the fall how much of a bruiser he was at running back, but this offseason he kept on showing the finesse in his game. He was burning linebackers and continuously getting separation during his reps. Reeder has good hands and he even was able to make tough contested catches.

is fairly limited by his size in terms of playing at the next level but is easily one of the best football players in this class. There are not many players who can have such an impressive impact on both sides of the ball like Reeder does. Reeder is arguably the most consistent player on a team that is loaded with top recruits. Reeder plays like one of the strongest players in the class and as a running back breaks through tackles so easily and can gain extra yards by keeping his lower half working. Reeder also has the agility and speed to make quick cuts in traffic and break runs for longer runs. On defense, Reeder is a physical tackler who reads the game really well. He uses his quickness to get around blockers and can even shed blocks of bigger lineman using his strength. Reeder is a good tackler and has a nose for the ball. The biggest question about Reeder is not the skills he displays on tape because he really shows it all but just at what position he projects at the next level. I think he has the athleticism to be impactful as a 3rd down back at the next level or even maybe as a slot corner/OLB on defense at the next level.

Going into the tryout I was extremely intrigued to see how Reeder would perform. In the high school season he was one of my favorite pound for pound players on Long Island. He earned his nickname “The Bull” with how he ran between the tackles. He was very tough to bring down in the fall but what I saw during the tryouts was his elusiveness. We don’t see him lineup as a wide receiver for Holy Trinity very often but when he did at the tryout he put on a show. He put defenders in shambles during his time running routes. When he ran short routes, he quickly got open. Now while he mainly played offense, his athletic ability can translate on both sides of the field. He was already a terrific linebacker in the fall, I wouldn’t be shocked if he played that position during the 7v7 tournaments.

is one of those players who plays much larger than he is. The RB/LB for Holy Trinity has arguably been one of their most impactful plays over the last two successful seasons. Reeder is so impactful on both sides of the ball and his ability to be a factor while playing such a large share of snaps is something that not many other players in the top 20 can say. Reeder is an incredible athlete but his most impressive trait is his physicality. Reeder is such a tough runner to bring down not just because he is fast but because he is the one delivering hits not getting hit. Reeder runs through weak tackles and always keeps his legs moving forward to push for more yards. As a defender Reeder uses his physicality to fight through blocks and make plays on the ball. Reeder is one of those fearless athletes that every coach is looking for and I think you can expect a big season for Reeder this upcoming fall.

was really solid on defense all afternoon for Holy Trinity playing a really physical brand of football. However, on offense Reeder could no get anything going as a runner until he made the game breaking play on a 58 yard touchdown run to put up Holy Trinity by two scores. Not only did Reeder deflate the energy of Moore Catholic but he did so on an incredible run that showcased his speed and patience as a runner. Reeder followed his blocks and waited for the perfect opportunity on the outside to use his speed to take him the rest of the way. Although there was not a lot of consistency offensively for the Holy Trinity squad his defensive play and game changing run made him one of the most important difference makers on the field.

is slowly becoming the most integral part of that squad. Reeder has routinely shown week in and week out that he deserves the ball in his hands. Already known as an elite defender Reeder has shown to be just as important on the offensive side of the ball and has become the engine of a really impressive Holy Trinity offense. With Reeder as a threat in the backfield expect more big plays from stars

as he continues to open up the offense for Holy Trinity. Reeder’s impressive 3 TD 200+ yard performance against Immaculata (NJ) could be the reason Holy Trinity still has a 0 in the loss column.

Reeder has a huge chance to breakout this season. One of the focal points of the Holy Trinity defense at linebacker last year Reeder played second fiddle in the backfield to Kameron Robbins. Last season Reeder only had 28 carries but he took those limited touches and had great success. Averaging 9.9 yards per carry Reeder was the leading rusher per carry for a stacked Holy Trinity offense last season. Even though Reeder is one of the better returners on defense for Holy Trinity I think he could explode on offense this season. Reeder is deceivingly strong for his size consistently bouncing off tacklers like a bowling ball. Reeder does not really have the size to play defense in college so increased opportunity in the backfield should result in some local recruiting interest in Reeder.
