It feels like I’ve been covering Ranall White forever. He is now a four year starter and has been a solid cornerback in this league since the spring of 2021. Things will be no different this year, as White is excellent in man coverage and has proved he can slow down so many elite receivers. Now as a senior, White is one of the fastest players in the AAA and he should have a great senior season.

Ranall White Jr Ranall White Jr 5'8" | 155 lbs | DB Holy Trinity | 2024 State NY is a very talented athlete who has incredible speed. White Jr can go stride for stride with any receiver in New York and does a really good job of mirroring his opponents down the field. White also does a good job of knowing when to get his head around and make a play on the ball or when to track the receivers movements to break up the pass at the catch point. White Jr could be more phyiscal in the run game but shows some of the best mirroring and ball skills in this class.

Each time White steps out onto the field you are getting a treat. Last month at the tryouts it was awesome to see White battling against his Titan teammates along with other elite receivers. He showed he can go toe to toe with all different types of talented receivers. White will be one of the leaders of the 18U secondary during all these tournaments. Teams will most likely test White with bigger receivers and he’ll be up for the task. The past three seasons he has been a terrific cover corner and now it’ll be fun to see him do it against great receivers all over the country.

Despite being undersized, White has been one of the top cornerbacks in the Catholic league the past three years. He’s been tested against a lot of good receivers in single coverage and he’s stepped up. With only being 5’8, White’s footwork has to be great and that’s exactly what he displayed. The junior cornerback is technically sound and has great fundamentals. His patience and hip work helps him stay with receivers as he matches them step for step. The past three years, he hasn’t had too many issues with bigger receivers and has been a reliable cornerback for Holy Trinity.
