The Friars had a special senior class that was talked about all season, but the junior tight end Alex Menghi Alex Menghi 6’4″ | 215 lbs | TE St. Anthony’s | 2024 State NY certainly needs more attention. On run plays, he was one of the key blockers for St Anthony’s. The physical tight end was so important in helping this Friars run game excel throughout the season. When he wasn’t getting it done in the trenches, he was a big vertical threat. Menghi proved he’s a great receiver and next year he is going to break out in the passing game.

A major reason for Ward Melville’s Suffolk County championship was the emergence of star athlete Brody Morgan Brody Morgan 6’1″ | 175 lbs | WR Ward Melville | 2024 NY . The 6’0 junior bursted out onto the scene with a dominant year for Ward Melville. He was one of the top receivers in Suffolk County doing it a variety of ways. He was an amazing deep threat as Morgan was able to go up and get against seemingly any defensive back on his schedule. His yards after catch was also a big part of his game. Morgan’s breakaway speed helped him pull off big plays as both a receiver and punt returner.
He had to be one of the most impactful players on the island. Lesiewicz had a total of 9 interceptions in just 10 games. He was incredible at reading the QB’s eyes and having the speed to cover enough ground and come away with an interception. The junior playmaker also was a reliable running back. Floyd is a team that loves to pound the rock and Lesiewicz fits in perfectly making plays for this smash mouth styled offense. One of the biggest parts of his game though as a prospect, is kicking. He wasn’t needed for field goals often, but he made his presence felt with constantly kicking touchbacks every game.
Chaminade’s linebacker core was loaded with senior talent, but Miller still made a big impact on this Flyers defense. At 6’0 200 pounds, Miller was one of the more physical players in the catholic league this season. He played mainly outside linebacker and he did a tremendous job of sniffing out short passes and consistently was making those open field tackles for the Flyers. Next year with all those seniors gone, you can expect Miller to be the leader of this defense and for his stats to increase.
