In some cases we see players who run out of eligibility reclassify and transfer to help boost recruitment or get another year of ball under their belt. We also see players move while still in high school for better coaching opportunities, recruiting, or even play-time and on-the-field role changes. Either way, we have seen plenty of prospects move out of the state and plenty of prospects come in the state this spring just like we did last year. Check out some of the most notable recent names below.
Just like previous transfer updates these players are all in the process of being transferred to their new state sites.

The biggest name to leave New York Keegan Croucher out of Fonda-Fultonville was set to be one of if not the highest-ranked 2027 prospects in New York when those rankings are updated in the spring. After the freshman’s historic season for FF, he will instead transfer to Cheshire Academy in CT. Croucher who already has an offer from Indiana and Division 1 measurables will be a big-time prospect in Connecticut and looks to continue the high level of success of Cheshire Academy Quarterbacks.
Recent Cheshire Academy Quarterbacks
Dante Reno QB – South Carolina
Luke Reynolds QB/TE – Penn State
Jack Brendon QB – Boston College
Aqil Meredith-Smith Aqil Meredith-Smith 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Moore Catholic | 2024 State NY who was once committed to Bowling Green will do a post-graduate year at East Coast Prep. Meredith-Smith was a top-ranked OL in New York and now will be a coveted prospect in New England who will be eligible to enroll mid-year after playing with ECP this fall. Meredith-Smith is a big physical OL prospect who is a high-quality addition to any offensive line room.

Garnett will be transferring to The Taft School after his state championship-winning season as a sophomore on varsity with Rye. the RB/LB prospect was a rotational back and defensive back for a loaded offense and Garnett looks to continue to develop his game at Taft where his quickness and athleticism will bring more athleticism to an already strong roster. Garnett has the skillset and talent to play on both sides of the ball and although now a prospect on PrepRedzone New England I am excited to see what he can do against strong competition.
Highlights
Isaiah Linyear Isaiah Linyear 5’10” | RB Niskayuna | 2025 State NY out of Niskayuna was one of my favorite prospects out of section II in the 25 class and the RB prospect will make a big-time move to Arizona where he will now play for Casteel High School. Not many were as productive as Linyear at 6′ 210lbs he ran for over 1200 yards and 21TDs. Linyear moves to Arizona with some offers already and now will likely be an intriguing target for Mountain West conference.
Julian Albright Julian Albright 6’6″ | 270 lbs | OL Moore Catholic | 2025 NY will be making the move to a New York team with a transfer to Moore Catholic after playing his high school ball for Lincoln High in Jersey City, NJ. Albright is a big OL prospect at 6’6 270lbs and has long lean build to go with really impressive movement skills. Moore Catholic has a history of developing talented offensive linemen most notably a top-ranked prospect in Aqil Meredith-Smith Aqil Meredith-Smith 6’4″ | 285 lbs | OL Moore Catholic | 2024 State NY listed above and current Buffalo Bull Henry Tabansi and Long Island Shark Moshood Giwa
