A big reason for transferring is prospects deciding to forgo attending college and instead do a Post-grad year to give them one more year of tape to impress college coaches. We could also see prospects change schools because of coaching changes within their district, moving schools for better recruiting opportunities, or even finding a place where they may get more playing time.
While I expect and know about some more movement in the next month or two and even some transfers announced over the summer, this article will highlight guys who already have announced their moves and, in some cases, have already made their move and are with their next schools.
Additionally, this article will be two-way, so both players are leaving New York and players who will be coming to New York.
Troy Worrell Troy Worrell 5’8″ | 160 lbs | WR Williston North Hampton | 2025 NewE who had a really strong year for Archbishop Stepinac as the leading WR in a crowded room will be doing a Post-Grad year at Williston Northampton School in Massachusetts where he looks to build on a 700+ 7 total TD season in the toughest league in New York.

Nartey a standout safety prospect for Iona Prep who was a multi-year starter and has tons of accolades at League/County/State levels is taking a Post-Grad year at Suffield Academy where he will join Jahmir Pitcher who transffered from CBA-Albany to Suffield last season to make up a very impressive New York Safety Duo in the Northeast Prep League.

Hudson, a massive tackle prospect from Christ The King will also be headed to Suffield Academy for a post-grad year and will look to be one of the next big offensive lineman to garner major recruiting attention playing in New England.
McGann who was one of the most impressive players in Section 1 will make the move from Arlington to the Hun School of Princeton in New Jersey for a Post-Grad year and the ability to play multiple positions against very tough competition that the Hun School routinely plays.

Perkins Jr will make the change from St. Thomas More coming back to Brooklyn where he will play for South Shore in the PSAL. Perkins Jr was one of the top prospects on a really talented 2022 Canarsie team and is now back as one of the top prospects in Brooklyn.

Preston Carey made a move that had been anticipated for some time, after helping St. Anthony’s win a State Championship as a Freshman and coming back his Sophomore season to be one of the best players in the NYCHSFL for the second straight year Carey heads to IMG Academy where he will continue to develop against a national schedule and some of the best recruits in the nation. Carey will continue to showcase why he is one of the most sought after 2026 recruits in the nation.
Highlights
While Ramil was not a part of the rankings before this season, he likely would have landed in the top 5 come a rankings update if he were staying in New York. Ramil will instead follow the same steps of his brother Stanton who is an OL at Michigan State and transfer to Thompson High School in Alabama, one of the most recruited schools in Alabama and a place where it won’t be long for Ramil to get some major interest.
Daniel Grein Daniel Grein 6’6″ | 325 lbs | OL Milford Academy | 2025 NY will be coming to New York to do a Post-Grad year at Milford Academy coming from IC Catholic Prep in Illinois, Grein who has a couple MAC offers looks to utilize the extra year of tape to build on his early recruitment. The 6’6 320lb offensive tackle is a big add for Milford Academy.

Coming to New York from Tampa, Olafsson will be another big addition to Milford Prep’s offensive backfield playing quarterback adding to the strong class of 25′ Quarterbacks playing in the state this season.

Another Florida -> New York move, LaVell is coming to Milford Prep from Venice HS where he was a part of a stacked WR room, LaVell looks to be a big part of the passing attack at Milford Academy.
