Joe McGann Joe McGann 6'5" | 290 lbs | OL The Hun School | 2025 State NJ . is a 6’5”, 280-pound athlete, and a post-graduate transfer from New York who will attend the Hun School for the upcoming 2024 season. He plays both tight end and defensive end, but his future appears brightest as an impactful move tight end.
Immediately noticeable are his physicality and toughness. Joe exhibits a rugged playing style, excelling as a blocker. His ability to stay low and generate power from his lower half makes him a force in the run game. As a blocker at the point of attack, he consistently finishes plays to the whistle and serves as a crucial cog in running plays.
As a receiver, Joe performs exceptionally well, particularly in working the seams. His soft hands and understanding of route concepts enable him to get open and look back for the football at the right moments. Additionally, he excels in run-after-catch situations, effectively utilizing flat routes and demonstrating physicality to gain extra yards beyond expectations.
Looking ahead, Joe’s continued improvement is anticipated. The next evolution in his game involves expanding his route tree. Currently, his tape showcases only a couple of routes, but as he progresses, a broader array of routes is expected to be added to his repertoire.
