Despite only playing half the season, I had to put Josiah Brown Josiah Brown 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Malverne | 2024 State NY on this list. He transferred into Malverne and was immediately the top player in all of conference 4. He was the fastest player on all of Long Island and dominated every game he participated in. He was a game changing defensive back and will be playing football at Penn State next season.

Now that Brown has returned to Malverne, he has instantly become the best “ATH” in Nassau County and a front runner for the Thorp Award (given to Nassau County’s best player). He is one of the fastest players in the nation and is an all around threat at receiver, defensive back and as a returner. He will look to lead Malverne to a Long Island Championship.

Josiah Brown Josiah Brown 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Malverne | 2024 State NY picked up two local offers to go along with some huge D1 FBS offers he has had a while with UConn and Colgate jumping in the mix. However, Brown did post a graphic of his top 7 before these offers and that list contained Penn State, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Rutgers.

Josiah Brown Josiah Brown 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Malverne | 2024 State NY is one of the best athletes in this class because he truly might have the best athleticism in the state. Brown has elite speed, not just elite for the HS level but elite speed for the college level and that is a big reason he has some major DI recruiting interest and has had it for a while. Brown is listed as an ATH because he is an impactful player on both sides of the ball as a safety and WR. Brown has the instincts and physicality that make him a really solid safety prospect where his elite range and speed in coverage are traits that will easily translate to the next level. Brown is also a solid tackler and shows good aggressiveness coming downhill and making plays. On offense, Brown is a dangerous threat with the ball in his hands and can make plays after the catch with ease. His speed and quick twitch ability to cut and reaccelerate is something that not many opponents can contain. Brown is also a really solid blocker as a receiver and showcases a good motor on plays where the ball is not coming his way. Although Brown is one of the most impactful player already in this class he can get even better. This fall Brown and Holy Trinity move up a class meaning tougher competition which everyone in New York is excited to see. On a more skillset basis, I would love to see Brown get the opportunity to showcase stronger route running ability and a more diverse route tree than the screen, slant, fade routes that we see from him so often.

Third and Ten returns one of their best players and one of the top prospects in the country. Josiah Brown Josiah Brown 5'11" | 175 lbs | WR Malverne | 2024 State NY is going to be a game changer in the seven on seven circuit. Fresh off of an incredible season running track, Brown will be bringing scary speed to this lineup. He has the ability to fly past just about any defender in the country. Brown’s elite speed will also be a huge factor on defense. I can see Brown being an excellent safety for this squad. His ability to read the quarterback’s eyes and make plays during the fall was impressive. He had plenty of touchdown saving tackles during his junior season. Brown can quickly cover a ton of ground and make plays on the football.
