The 2026 ATH, will make an argument as one of Suffolk County’s most exciting players this upcoming season. Winter has the ability to do it all for the Panthers. We’ll start off with what he can do on offense. Winter can play either quarterback, running back or be a terrific receiving option. He’s a tough runner who hits the hole very hard. He wasn’t easy to stop during his QB runs because he showed he can burn defenses with his arm as well. The physicality he played with during his freshman year was rare for someone his age. He delivered big hits and gained a ton of yards after contact. The versatility he has is truly sensational. On defense you can expect him to be one of Suffolk’s top linebackers after his 80 tackle freshman year performance

One of the more exciting prospects in the class of 2026. Smith stepped up to the plate last season and played well on varsity just as a freshman. Now heading into his sophomore year, Smith is a major candidate to breakout as one of the top quarterbacks in his division. He will form a combination with Hayden Lovinsky Hayden Lovinsky 5’10” | 160 lbs | WR Deer Park | 2024 State NY that could take Long Island by storm. Smith has a strong arm and you can make an argument that Lovinsky is the most athletic public school receiver besides Josiah Brown Josiah Brown 5’11” | 175 lbs | WR Malverne | 2024 State NY . This summer I’ve been impressed with Smith’s arm strength and maturity as a passer. He’s looked good in the pocket and he’ll be looking to make a big step forward this season.

I am very intrigued to see how Kongolo does this season. At 6’5 and 205 pounds he’s a prospect with a ton of potential. He’s long and pretty athletic. He showed that he was good at using his hands and was able to get by some good offensive lineman to make some key tackles last year. I’d like to see him add a little more weight to his frame so he can keep strengthening his body positioning and be able to come away with more tackles. Kongolo was a warrior last season, he went hard whistle to whistle and he was even effective as an offensive lineman. He’s a player that will put the Colts in a position to succeed next season.

The tall receiver out of Bayport is one of the top pure athletes you’ll see in Suffolk County. If he wasn’t committed to Boston University for lacrosse, you would see colleges battling to get him on the gridiron. Luce is 6’4 and 200 pounds, he has good hands and is very tough to tackle in the open field. His great footwork allows him to be elusive and gain a ton of yards after the catch. I saw him at a 7v7 where he mossed his defender for a deep touchdown. Luce is going to be a great receiving threat this season but make sure you look out for his run blocking. Bayport will run the ball a lot more this season and Luce will show off his strength by creating space for Danny Aiello and Maclin Keyser
Once again Suffolk County Division One has some elite lineman, but I’m here to tell you that Brennan Kurtz Brennan Kurtz 6’2″ | 260 lbs | OL Ward Melville | 2025 NY will put himself in the conversation as one of the very best by the end of this season. At 6’1 and 250 pounds, Kurtz is still one of the strongest players in this division. Last year against those big lineman from Floyd, he did more than hold his own. And with that being said, the way he moves is scary. He gets out into space quickly and will make fantastic blocks to boost a ton of extra yards for the ball carrier. Look out for him to get bigger and even better this upcoming season.
I saw him last week with Floyd at a 7v7 event against elite defenses like Bayport, Sayville and St Anthony’s and he impressed. Cannet has a strong arm and he was zipping the ball to his receivers. Despite Floyd rotating a variety of receivers, Cannet showed off great chemistry with a lot of guys who are looking to step up this year like Kris Watkins and Jayden Montalvao. He has good anticipation and was able to fit passes into tight spaces.
J.D Harrison

The 2024 Walt Whitman product can easily finish as a top 10 receiver/athlete on Long Island after his senior year. He showed some incredible flashes last season. On offense, Harrison high points the ball extremely well. He would lineup in the slot and he was a phenomenal deep threat. He ran smooth deep routes and he made some unbelievable grabs over defenders time and time again. Look for his reception amount to increase this season. And on defense, he was a hard hitting safety. Harrison was able to help in the run game while also collecting a couple of interceptions
