Parisi out of Holy Trinity who missed his senior season due to injury is one of the top LBs in the state. Parisi is physical around the LOS and has the ability to take on and shed blocks from offensive lineman. Parisi adds a big physical presence to the LB room.

The Holy Trinity defense lost some very talented pieces, but three year starter Nick Parisi Nick Parisi 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Holy Trinity | 2024 State NY is back and he is one of the top linebackers in this league. Parisi is one of the best block shedding linebackers in New York along with some good speed. He has excellent size at 6’2 220, and I think this year we will see him rack up a ton of tackles as a true run stopper in the AAA division

Initially I was surprised to see Parisi with the defensive lineman, but when the 1v1’s came he was impressive. Parisi is one of the best block shedding linebackers in the state and it translated well to his matchups. He had a very effective spin move that gave lineman trouble. Most linebackers in this class wouldn’t be the best matchup for left tackles, but Parisi’s strength guided him to win his matchups and physically overpower his guy.

Nick Parisi Nick Parisi 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Holy Trinity | 2024 State NY has s different build from some of the other linebacker in the state with an emphasis on strength, power, and the ability to make plays around the LOS. Parisi shed blocks better than most if not all the LBs in this class and has good upper body length and strength to get away from OL and finish ball carriers. Solid versatility from an alignment standout where I have seen him off the ball or close to the LOS inside or even in a standup OLB/Edge type positioning. Parisi is a really solid run defender, perhaps the best in the class and has a big season coming up as Holy Trinity moves up to CHSFL AAA.

Another Catholic League LB and pushing for the #1 LB spot in the state is Nick Parisi Nick Parisi 6'2" | 235 lbs | LB Holy Trinity | 2024 State NY . Although the #1 & #2 linebackers in the state play very different styles of the position they both bring D1 level traits to their defenses. Parisi excels around the LOS and against the run. His strength and ability to neutralize and shed blocks are on par with a lot of defensive lineman with much bigger builds. Parisi can take on pulling lead blockers and make plays while engaged with offensive lineman. Parisi is a really solid tackler and not only can make arm tackles as running backs try and get to the second level but also is a really solid tackler in the open field. Parisi has shown some really solid positional versatility where he has lined up as an off ball linebacker or as an OLB/Edge type of player. Parisi does have some solid tape in coverage but more consistent reps against the pass would be a major plus for him this season and really round out his game as a linebacker. Luckily, Holy Trinity moving up to AAA will allow for a huge opportunity for Parisi to work against the best competition in New York.

Parisi performed really well and was consistent in his play. The reps I saw from Parisi he did a good job covering 1v1 against some really athletic running backs. Parisi was overall one of the most consistent performers in the linebacking group from New York.
