Vaea shows natural instincts and played a prominent role last year and was a versatile backer who could rush the quarterback and drop back into coverage. He shows good quickness, closes ground quickly, and has textbook tackling form. Vaea will look to continue to fly all around the field and make plays and continue to be a force on the stout Orem defense.

Vaea has great size and an exceptional athlete. He is strong, and physical and showcases good range and depth. He has excellent vision and will diagnose a play quickly. He has great speed and does a nice job of weaving his way through defenders. Vaea is a physical player from start to finish, he is a heat-seeking missile who looks to run through you and will meet a ball carrier head-on. He is not afraid of contact and a player that makes you feel his physicality and a player that has great athleticism. He is at his best as an on-ball backer and where he can roam around and make plays. He is a player that should get Power-Four offers. Truly an exciting Linebacker in the state. One of the best.
