Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Krew was exceptional on both nights when Orem participated in different showcases. Krew has put on good size this offseason, and he displayed his patented explosiveness off the line. He blends speed and power beautifully. He has great lateral quickness, has violent hands, and great hip bend. He has an electric spin move and does a good job of shedding contact and overwhelming his linemen. He’s an elite recruit and displayed why.

Krew has been fantastic this year. He is explosive off the line, his physicality and quick hands are giving his lineman fits and he’s been doubled, chipped, and plays are being ran away from him and he’s still been productive in creating pressure and making plays. He will be a multi year, Power-Four starter. He has elite skills and it’ll translate to being an early NFL Draft pick when the time comes. He allows the rest of the defense to make plays. He’s an elite talent and he’s been effective on the offensive side of the ball as well.

One word best describes Krew, ELITE. He is an exceptional athlete and will impact a game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, as a big slot or an inline tight end, he shows great footwork, moves well laterally, and is strong at the catch point and displaying soft hands and a natural ball catcher. He does well creating after the catch. Make no mistake, his bread and butter is as an EDGE rusher where he is a supreme talent. Explosive off the line, brings great speed, lateral quickness, hip bend, and ultra-violent hands, that shoves a lineman’s hands off him. He is someone who can get 20+ sacks and singlehandedly change a game with every snap. He’s a national recruit and an elite talent. He’ll be a multi-year Power Four starter and an early NFL Draft pick, with top 20 potential.

During the 7’s event, Jones played both sides of the ball and it was good to see him on the offensive side. His physicality and strong hands makes him a weapon on the offensive side. I’d argue he’d be a Power-Four starter as a Tight End. He’s too big and physical for defensive backs and too fast for linebackers. On the defensive side, he showed that he is very comfortable dropping back in space and came up with an excellent interception versus Corner Canyon on the day and saved a touchdown with that turnover. Jones is a stud and an elite prospect who will get his fifth star soon.
