to become a future standout for the Bulldogs, with very little information and film to evaluate at this point. An injury set him back last season as a freshman, but we’ve heard very good things about him as an athlete. Villa was a star at the middle school level in Utah before relocating to West Virginia and has the size and athleticism to produce at a variety of positions. He’s a big TBD to us without having the chance to see him in person or watch much film, but tuck away Villa’s name for later once he gets his name out there more.
After relocating from Utah to West Virginia, Villa will be taking the field this fall for the defending Class AAA WVSSAC State Champion, Martinsburg Bulldogs. Right now he’s listed as an Athlete because depending on how he develops I can see him being a next level player at multiple positions. Watching his 8th grade film from Utah, Villa made som incredible plays at that Outside Linebacker/Defensive End/Edge position, where he was simply too athletic for the big Offensive Tackles he was lined up across from. I lost track of how many batted balls I saw him jump up and get a paw on. He’s also a highly athletic kid that doesn’t look out of place running routes as a bigger/thicker Wide Receiver on the offensive side of the ball. Time will tell, but look for him to make an immediate impact as a freshman.
