Ka’awa had a tremendous season opener, and the offseason size that he put on has paid dividends. He has a big arm and will be facing off against an active Lone Peak defense. Orem brings length to the skilled position, and Ka’awa will look to stress the Lone Peak defense and make them cover the entire field.

Ka’awa has an excellent frame and is pro size ready at this stage. His frame will allow him to tack on an additional 15-20lbs without limiting his mobility. He has a good compact delivery that allows him to get the ball off quickly and in rhythm. Ka’awa has excellent arm talent and makes all the necessary throws you want for a prospect who will be a multi-year starter at the Power-Four level. He has a big arm and will sling it deep with a flick of the wrist and he showcases good accuracy in his throws and layers it in beautifully. Ka’awa throws with a nice touch and makes the needed anticipatory throws you want to see. He has good pocket navigation and senses pressure around him, he’ll climb the pocket with ease and make the tough throws you want from a premium prospect. He will side step an oncoming defender and keep his eyes downfield and doesn’t get rattled from pressure. Ka’awa throws a nice ball on the run and doesn’t need his feet set to throw an accurate ball downfield. His mobility is good for his size and he’ll take off and pick up additional yards with ease. He’s categorized as a power rusher in the mold of a Justin Herbert, the strength that he has makes it tough for arm tacklers to bring him down. He still has a lot of untapped potential, which makes his upside tremendous and as someone who is already one of the best QB’s in the state, it makes his ceiling quite spectacular.
