2026 LB Terrell Cofield Terrell Cofield 5'11" | 205 lbs | LB Martinsburg | 2026 State WV has been a force for Martinsburg in the playoffs, showing why he’s a player to watch on both sides of the ball. Bigger and stronger than in previous seasons, Cofield has been impactful at middle linebacker, using his frame and physicality to control the defense, while also contributing as a running back. His performance in the playoffs is putting him in position to emerge as one of the top linebackers in his class and a strong D2 prospect.

Expect 2026 Martinsburg LB Terrell Cofield Terrell Cofield 5'11" | 205 lbs | LB Martinsburg | 2026 State WV to blow up this season both on the field and as a prospect. He’s entering his senior season much bigger and stronger than in the past, and it’s going to translate to success this year. Cofield will see time at running back, too, but projects as a middle linebacker at the next level with a great build for the position. He may put himself in the conversation of the top linebacker in the class with a big season.

Martinsburg’s Terrell Cofield Terrell Cofield 5'11" | 205 lbs | LB Martinsburg | 2026 State WV has opened eyes this summer and is primed for a breakout year for the Bulldogs as a senior. He’s waited patiently for his turn as a full-time starter behind some very talented player in their linebacker group the past few seasons. From a physical build standpoint, Cofield is one of the best-looking athletes in the state with a well-developed physique. He brings a quality wrestling background to the football field and has the potential to be another stock riser after his senior season, with a larger sample size of game film.

Mainly a JV player this season for the state champion Martinsburg Bulldogs but saw some varsity action in lopsided games was linebacker Terrel Cofield. Cofield is a physically built 5’10 180 for a sophomore who could put himself in a position to see more varsity time as a junior in 2024. He sees time at middle linebacker and running back, but I like the outlook for him as a linebacker the most. Cofield’s physicality is apparent on both sides of the ball and is a hard hitter on defense and a bruising power back on offense. If he continues to grow physically and sees more varsity action in the future his ranking will see an increase but for now, he’s one of the very few mainly JV players in our 2026 Top 100. It’s very tough for underclassmen to see varsity action in the Martinsburg program so it’s a testament to his potential that he was able to see some as a sophomore on a state champion team.
