has been a key presence for Martinsburg in the playoffs, showcasing the growth he’s made over the past two seasons. The 6’0″, 230-pound DL/OL has added strength, explosiveness, and technique, creating disruption up the middle for opposing offenses. Kovacs’ development since joining the Bulldogs has translated into consistent production on the field, and his performance this postseason reinforces his potential to compete at the D2 level despite not having the largest frame.

is having a very good senior season for Martinsburg, and the 2026 DL has seen massive growth in their program over the past two years. Kovacs has improved in every facet since transferring into the Bulldogs’ programs, and it’s translating to on-field success as a senior. He’s bigger, stronger, and more explosive, which is leading to a lot of havoc created in the middle of the line of scrimmage. While Kovacs may not have the biggest frame, he’s proven to have the ability to play at the D2 level in our eyes.

. Size makes him a better defensive prospect than an offensive one, but Kovacs may need to be a starter on both sides as a senior. He got a lot of reps at both last season, so the role won’t be new to him. If Kovacs has made progress physically since last year, expect him to see some D2 looks this fall.

was another quality addition to the Martinsburg program last season and showed a lot of potential as a defensive line prospect. He earns a spot on our Perfect Interior DL Build for his motor and effort that he showed as a junior for the Bulldogs. Kovacs is a bit undersized for an interior defensive lineman, but his heart and hustle are what allow him to overcome those physical limitations and make plays. He gives full effort for four quarters and the entirety of the play doing a nice job of tracking down quarterbacks and ball carriers regardless of where they are on the field.

as he saw a bump in his ranking. His transformation from seeing him in the Spring at the PRZ WV Combine to on the field for the Bulldogs was massive. Kovacs earned a starting role along the defensive line for the state champions and saw his fair share of reps on the offensive line too but best translates to the defensive side of the ball. As he continues to grow and add strength, his ceiling will increase as a prospect with flashes throughout his junior tape.

is ranked as an offensive lineman right now but is making a great case to be flipped to DL after the season is over with what he’s putting on film through the first four weeks.
His size is a better fit for that side of the ball at this stage of his career and he’s done some good things on both sides of the line for Martinsburg this season. It was great to see him earn a starting job with his new program of their caliber and you can see why his coaches like him so much. Kovacs may not have elite size but he’s a battler and is an explosive player. He fires off the ball and uses his hands well to get consistent push along the interior. Kovacs is strong for his size and whose athleticism sneaks up on bigger offensive linemen. He gets good penetration and reaches the backfield consistently. Kovacs will continue to raise his ceiling the more size he’s able to put on.

is another former Musselman lineman who will be making the transition to state power Martinsburg, and the combine will give us a better idea of how quickly he can see the field at a school of their caliber. Kovacs had a limited sample size of sophomore highlights available, so we took a chance on him when placing him inside of our 2026 Top 100 but will get to see if he can confirm those honors at the combine. The two main questions we have for him heading into the event are what will his measurements be, and can he hold up against some bigger linemen in 1-on-1s? Progression in size will be his biggest need over the next two years, but Kovacs can still prove he can overcome those questions with a strong camp performance.

is one of a handful of Musselman athletes who will be making the move to state-power Martinsburg next season to play for the defending state champion Bulldogs in 2024 and debuts in the 2026 rankings as the #18 OL. He has some catching up to do in the size department at 6’1 235 but flashed at times on his limited sample size of sophomore highlights. Martinsburg will need to replace a few important pieces on their offensive line next season and Kovacs will be in contention for one of those spots. In the limited highlights available, Kovacs showed good footwork and agility with obvious athleticism that gives him a good base to build on moving forward. I also liked seeing the nastiness and physicality he flashed on some of his blocks. Most of his reps were at tackle even as a shorter lineman right now which is a credit to how well he moves. Kovacs could slide inside to guard where he can be an effective puller and trapper with the skillset he showed and that’s likely where he’ll play at the next level pending a growth spurt. He’ll have some tough competition at a program of Martinsburg’s prestige, but I believe he’ll earn a starting spot possibly as soon as next season.
