Even in a close loss, 2026 Martinsburg TE/DL Frankie Urias Frankie Urias 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV did his part on both sides of the ball for the Bulldogs. He faced a very talented Huntington offensive line and fared well against a big, physical group, which also translated to TE on offense. Urias won his fair share of snaps against them and helped limit an offense littered with athletes to just 22 points. The weather had a lot to do with the defensive slug fest, but players like Urias should be commended for their high effort in a premier week two game.

2026 DL Frankie Urias Frankie Urias 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV was a good addition to the Martinsburg program last season and made an immediate impact for the Bulldogs. He’s a long and athletic DE/EDGE prospect who does a nice job of rushing the passer. Urias is quick off the line and plays with low bend, making it difficult for offensive tackles to block him 1-on-1. He’s also disciplined in run defense, being patient to read option play, and defending his side of the field. Urias is deserving of D2 looks this fall.

Frankie Urias Frankie Urias 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV proved to be a quality addition to the state champion Martinsburg roster last season as a defensive end. The 6’3 215 rising senior earned a spot on our Perfect EDGE/DE Player build for his ability to bend and get under opposing offensive tackles as a plus athlete for the position. Urias plays with low leverage coming out of his stance and maintains balance while pass-rushing. Another trait that jumped out when watching his junior tape was how assignment and technique sound he was containing his side of the field and being patient to not over pursue the play.

We are high on former Musselman DL Frankie Urias Frankie Urias 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV who is another former Appleman making his way to Martinsburg this season. He showed a lot of potential as a sophomore last season and we anticipate him earning a starting spot for the Bulldogs this season. Urias is a long defensive end prospect who needs to continue filling out his frame but once he does so his ceiling will be high for the position. He’s also a quality athlete who can run and cover ground quickly for a DE and plays well in space. Urias uses his hands well and fires off the line with great burst and effort.
Already a Top 10 DL in the 2026 class, if Urias can continue his trajectory at his new program and keep getting bigger and stronger, he has the potential to finish as one of the top defensive lineman in this class.
