He’s been a varsity player since his sophomore year at Musselman, and brings a lot of experience to a group that needs some this season. Whipp made strides as a player during his junior campaign, and we should see another step forward as a senior. Size may give D2 programs some pause, but Whipp has the talent to play at that level in our eyes.

Yet another former Musselman standout who could be a starter for the Bulldogs this season is 2026 OL Kane Whipp Kane Whipp 6'0" | 260 lbs | OL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV . Whipp continues to develop his body well and is up nearly 30 pounds since he originally came on our radar. Now in the 6’0 260 range, he’s put himself in a position to slide into a starting role at guard for Martinsburg this season. Whipp is an aggressive blocker who can pull and play in space as a quality athlete for the position. The added size will only benefit his game further this season and we’re excited to see him take a step forward as a junior because of that.

Whipp is a prospect to monitor over the next two years to see how his body further develops to determine his ceiling as a prospect but has done some good things until this point.

Martinsburg’s Kane Whipp Kane Whipp 6'0" | 260 lbs | OL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV is another talented 2026 offensive lineman who will put his talents on display at the combine. Whipp rounds out our 2026 OL Top 15 at this point but will have some stiff competition at the combine and beyond to maintain those honors. Our question for him that we want to be answered at the combine will be getting his measurements confirmed, and can he hold up against bigger bodies as he showed on his sophomore highlight tape? Size is the main area that’s a work in progress for him but has a lot of other tools and traits that placed him inside the Top 15 for his position. The combine will give us a great gauge of whether Whipp can secure a starting spot at his new school in state power Martinsburg which we believe he’s capable of.

Kane Whipp Kane Whipp 6'0" | 260 lbs | OL Martinsburg | 2026 State WV will be transferring to state-champion Martinsburg in 2024 after being a sophomore starting guard for Musselman. The obvious question with him will be how much he will grow in the next two years, but Whipp made tremendous progress since his freshman year and is now in the 6’0 240 range. I thought he showed quality fundamentals and technique as a young lineman and seems to be ahead of many OL his age in that department. Whipp plays with good leverage with a strong base and physical at the point of attack. He does a nice job sustaining blocks after initial contact and has the athleticism to keep his feet moving while also being able to pull effectively. Whipp held up well against larger defensive linemen allowing his technique and early strength to make up for his size. If he continues to grow his ceiling will greatly rise and is the only thing keeping him lower on the OL list at this time.
