is another example of a Bixby player that has grown up in this system and has made the most of his opportunities on the field. He had a terrific junior season last year and provides the Spartans with more depth with his ability to play on both sides of the ball. Earlier this year, McCormick started picking up interest to play at the next level and he eventually landed on committing to Princeton. McCormick is also another great example of just how deep the talent is at Bixby. On most teams, McComick would rack up some serious numbers but on Bixby, he’s part of this unstoppable machine.

who broke the game open in the second half with a pick six for the Spartan defense. That led to a 49-14 rout in favor of the Spartans but that game was close for the first two quarters. McCormick is going to be a very important two-way player for Bixby this season and on Thursday night. On defense, he’s part of a linebacker group that is one of the best in 6A-1. On offense, he has the potential to be one of Bixby’s leading receivers as they look to replace a lot of the production from last year’s state championship team.

might be the next guy up in that discussion. Last year, McCormick got his feet wet as he became a consistent guy for Bixby’s offense and more specifically what he was able to do on the defensive side of the ball. He’s going to join Puckett as a returning linebacker and that duo is going to be one of the better linebacker duos in 6A-1. Then he’ll turn around and provide the Spartan offense with size as an outside wide receiver. McCormick is a really impressive athlete that should get the attention of colleges this fall.
