He really impressed me with his size, range in pass coverage and leadership at the Battle at the Beach tournament. On film, he is an explosive blitzer who you have to identify pre-snap or he can hurt you. Holani is often the spy against scrambling quarterbacks and closes to the ball quickly. He drives his feet through the tackle and punishes ball carriers, often causing fumbles. Holani is committed to Sacramento State and was one of the more under-recruited linebackers in this recruiting cycle in my opinion.

Holani was third on the team in tackles with 72 including 19 for a loss, six sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for Santa Margarita last season.
He also had offers from New Mexico, Eastern Washington and Portland State. Holani is the third linebacker in Sacramento State’s 2026 recruiting class and the 19th player from California.

Holani had 80 tackles with 19 for a loss, six sacks with three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for Santa Margarita last season.
He is explosive as a blitzer from the inside backer spot and he’s a guy opponent’s always have to identify pre-snap and know where he is at all times. Holani often is the spy against mobile quarterbacks or covers running backs in man coverage, but flies through the line to make late sacks.
He’s a strong guy who rips the ball from defenders and can drive ball carriers back a few yards after contact.
