Baker stood out when running routes for quarterbacks at the Elite 11 Finals last summer and had a good showing on Sunday. He ran a sub-4.5 laser 40-yard dash and that speed translates on the field when running routes. Baker is smooth in his movements and caught everything close to him.

He chose USC over six other schools that offered him, including Colorado, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Baker is the second overall commit in USC’s 2026 recruiting class and the first player from California.

He has really good ball skills and goes up to get 50/50 balls. He’s good at making plays after the catch and has some burst. He’s a good cornerback too.
