Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
This 6’3”, 260-pound interior defensive lineman combines ideal size with a massive 78.5-inch wingspan, giving him a clear advantage in controlling blockers and disrupting passing lanes. He’s a high level athlete that possesses an explosive first step, allowing him to gain immediate leverage off the snap, penetrate gaps quickly, and create havoc in both the run and pass game. He uses his length effectively to engage and disengage from blockers, maintain proper leverage, and push the pocket while keeping his hands active. In the run game, he shows the ability to anchor against double teams, hold his ground, and maintain gap integrity, while his quickness and explosiveness allow him to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. Racked up 20 D1 offers before committing to Harvard.

The Sierra Canyon defensive line was active from start to finish Friday night. Johnson was one of the centerpieces of the group throughout the win over Serra. The senior led the defensive line group with five tackles to go along with two tackles for loss. Even when Johnson wasn’t collecting a tackle he was disruptive. His strength was on display throughout the game as he overpowered offensive linemen consistently throughout the game. He has impressive speed as well and varied up his technique at the point of attack.

Johnson’s an attacking defender with the positional flexibility to play multiple spots in the front seven. At 6’3” 250 lbs. he flashed on the DL as a sophomore with his initial quickness and ability to gain penetration to make plays at or behind the LOS. He’s a plus athlete with natural movement skills at his size that shows he can redirect and pursuit the ball in the short area. Strong and powerful at the POA, he’s a tough block that can use his hands to shed/disengage or sit down to anchor while holding his gap to force the ball carrier off his line. He’s continued to add weight while maintaining his athleticism. A high ceiling prospect that will rise up rankings and recruiting boards. Voted First Team all Mission League as a sophomore with 44 total tackles, 10.5 TFL, and 5.5 sacks.
