Stokes had 722 yards on 109 carries with 12 touchdowns and had two receiving touchdowns for Sierra Canyon last season.
He committed to Oklahoma in November, but his primary recruiter DeMarco Murray left Oklahoma to take a job in the NFL. Stokes remained committed for months but flipped to Cal.
He is the sixth player from California in Cal’s 2027 recruiting class and the second running back.

Stokes ran for 542 yards with 9 touchdowns and had 348 yards receiving with a touchdown for Sierra Canyon as a sophomore.

He is twitchy, can change directions smoothly and make tough catches look easy. Stokes also plays with some swagger and confidence.
