His pass rushing has taken great steps forward over the last few years and he consistenly overmatches his opponents.

Jameial Lyons Jameial Lyons 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2023 State PA is truly one of the more dominant defenders in the state. There are a ton of elite EDGE/pass rushers in the state, I don’t think any are more physically imposing than Roman’s Penn-State commit. He was pretty much unblockable in this one, a game being watched by his future coaches at that.

I remember watching Abdul Carter in his final season at La Salle. I remember thinking to myself, this is a grown man who shouldn’t even be playing on the field right now. I get the same sense when watching Jameial Lyons Jameial Lyons 6'4" | 245 lbs | DL Roman Catholic | 2023 State PA rush the passer this year. The Penn State commit looks to be in full command of the defense, doing what he pleases at times. Physically, Lyons looks to be in the best shape that I’ve seen personally. His efforts have shown up on the box score, registering 3 sacks, 13 TFLs, and 35 total tackles, tied for the team lead. Lyons is proving his worth and leading one of the better defenses in all of PA.

I have seen firsthand just how athletic this kid is. The extra weight he has put on in preparation for PSU won’t hinder his ability to rush the passer. Lyons has made a living using his speed and athleticism to win reps. Now expect him to blend power into his pass rush. Expecting a dominant year from this kid.
