Helaman has been fantastic this season and he’s been effective with his arm and his legs. The game has really slowed down for him and he’s getting to his third reads with ease. His ball placement has been superb and he velocity his improved. If Lone Peak decides to use max coverage, he’ll beat them with his legs and if Lone Peak decides to bring the pass rush, he’ll call a quick blitz beater. He’s an exceptional talent and he’ll be looking to lead Corner Canyon in a tough environment and come away with a win.
Helaman had a good month of games and has showcased his full skill set over the month. He added good size in the offseason, and he’s using his legs more, which is making defenses, especially backers have to decide if they stay in coverage or come up to get him, and Helaman can pick apart defenses because of that. He throws with good precision and has immense arm talent. He keeps the ball out of danger, and he gets to his second and third reads. He’s an elite prospect, and with region play coming up, we’ll see why he’s our number one rated prospect for the 2026 class.
Casuga has been ultra-efficient this season and has been effective with his arm and his legs. He put on good size this offseason, and it’s paying off. Fremont is an aggressive defense, and if he can utilize his pump fake and use his eyes to manipulate the safety, it could be a big day through the air for Casuga.
Casuga is an elite player, and he’ll put the team on his back if he has to. He was highly efficient last week against Bingham, and he’s made the Florida trip before during the offseason, so it won’t be new for him. He’ll ensure that he keeps his team ahead of the chains and attack an aggressive defense.
Helaman is our prediction for Region 3 Offensive Player of the Year. He is fully healthy from his injury last season. He’s had a fantastic offseason and was excellent at the Elite 11 finals. Helaman will look to lead Corner Canyon to a state title and is an elite signal caller who will be a multi-year Power Four starter. He has elite traits, and they’ll be on full display this season.
Casuga is our #1-ranked player for the class, and he had his season cut short due to injury, but he is fully healthy and has looked great all offseason. He’s added good size and is prepared for the rigors of ball at the next level, but ahead of him, he’ll look to lead Corner Canyon to another state title and be part of the QB lineage at CCHS. He has great processing speed, gets to his third reads, has a quick, compact delivery, throws with good velocity, and has excellent touch and ball placement. Casuga has excellent pocket navigation and easily manipulates safeties. He will move the chains with his legs if need be and is an athletic mover. He’ll look to finish out his career at CCHS and head to the SEC as he’s a Texas A&M commit.
Casuga really impressed me on night one and one news outlet named him their MVP on night two due to strong performances in both the Pro Day and Accuracy Challenge.
He goes through his progressions well and is accurate to all three levels of the field.
Casuga shined in some of the drills on night one and had one of the best days of the group on night two. He scored a 48 in the Pro Day portion and had a high Accuracy Challenge score as well.
During the 7’s event, Casuga looked decisive and sharp with his passes. He showed great poise going through his progressions and had great velocity and accuracy. Casuga has put on good muscle during the offseason and looks stronger, and his body is ready for the next level. A great showing for him.
