Daren is at his best when he can use his legs and extend plays but in this setting, it allows me to see his arm talent and his processing rate. He’s a signal caller who shows good arm talent and knows when to add extra needed velocity and when to lay it over defenders. He does a good job of leading his receivers away from danger and is a signal caller with a bright future.

I’ve seen Daren in live game reps this year when watching the Sophomore team play. Today, I got to see the raw mechanics. He has a good frame and will continue to grow into it. He moves well, showcases good footwork, and natural athletic movement pattern with good suddenness. He’s a signal caller who moves well in the pocket and has a quick delivery. He did well making off-platform throws and has good mechanics. He throws a tight spiral and uses his lower half to drive the ball deep and displaying good velocity on his throws. Smooth thrower with good traits and skills.
