Otuafi is a physical linebacker with good instincts. He shows good footwork and diagnoses plays quickly. Otuafi shows excellent pass rush skills and has good closing speed and a quick first step off the line with a good hip bend to get around the edge. He sheds blockers well and has good tackling form and showcases his strong play in this aspect. Otuafi can drop back and cover his zone without getting lost in space and does a good job of switching off when a receiver leaves his space coverage and doesn’t leave his area uncovered. He is best as an on-ball backer and would be good at a hybrid LEO role where he can roam around and rush the quarterback. He’s a fun player that should get regionally recruited.
