He’ll be a player that is a quarterback’s best friend on third downs, and with his twitchiness, can get open on short timing routes. He has good footwork and is a nuanced route runner who uses subtle head and shoulder fakes to get his corner turning the wrong way. Jasean is a slippery cover and is an elusive receiver with springy athletic traits and good ball skills. He’s an excellent receiver, and if they have him in the slot, he should have a big day moving the chains and coming up big in high-leverage situations.

Jasean is an excellent prospect and is great off the line, and shows good footwork. He is a slippery receiver to cover. He has good hips and does well with in-and-out-breaking routes, is deadly with second moves, and is excellent at tracking and high-pointing the ball. I’ve been saying it for about a year that he’s been one of the most under-recruited prospects out there. He is a D1 talent.

Fremont adds some athletic defensive backs, and Mayberry could be the key to the game. He is a tough cover and slippery in the open field.

I’ve seen Mayberry several times this offseason, and he looked good during the drills. From the 40, the 5-10-5, and the broad jump. He nailed a 10 broad with ease, signaling his explosiveness. He’s a twitchy receiver who is hard to stick to and will be a player who will continuously get open. Mayberry has good lateral movement and understands tempo, and has great subtle fakes to find ways to get open and manipulate his corner. He had a great afternoon and got open on most of his 1v1 reps
