Brighton Shepherd
About Brighton
Expert Analysis
Andy Pham | Prep Redzone Scout
Brighton has good size and athleticism. The receiving room is crowded but he can make an impact in the redzone where his catch radius comes in handy. He is strong at the catch point and tracks the ball well. He’s played some defensive back, as his length and athletic traits make him an interesting lengthy corner. Lots of tools to work with.

The room clears a bit with a transfer out, and Shepherd is now the big-bodied receiver and red zone threat now. This offseason, during showcases, he showed a great release package and did a good job of creating separation. He’ll be part of the rotation and the target in key situations due to his large catch radius.

Shepherd goes from unranked to the 43rd prospect in the state and the tenth-ranked receiver in the class. He has a good frame and has a nice release package. Shepherd shows good footwork and a knack of getting open, he should be a huge redzone target.
