A name that created buzz in recruiting circles as an underclassman. His impressive physique coupled with his potential development at a place like St. Joseph’s Prep had schools ready to offer early. So much so that West Virginia offered Amiano back in the Summer of 2023. No tangible scholarship opportunities have been announced since, yet Amiano is coming off a junior campaign at Roman Catholic that I predict will get him back in good favor among FCS/G5s recruiting Philadelphia football. Ranked as a top 20 linebacker, narrowly missing the Top 100 by five measly spots. Programs will either trust Amiano to be able to play in space or limit him to a trench run-stopping role. What coaches believe Amiano can provide outside of run stopping/plugging will ultimately decide his recruiting ceiling. I think Amiano is a bit further along to lazily label him an “old school” or “traditional” linebacker. I, however, am not holding the cards. Others might consider Amiano’s stock to be down in relation to the past. I would push back on that notion, as he’s on my short list of defenders who could see significant love from now to August 2025.

Louie Amiano Louie Amiano 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB/DB Roman Catholic | 2026 PA has limited film and he played at St. Joseph’s Prep last year. He has good instincts at the linebacker position. He does a great job of reading his keys and then attacking downhill. He has natural ability and feel for a young linebacker. He also showed that he is a good tackler, especially in the open field. Amiano should get on the field this year for Roman Catholic and I expect him to make an impact.

Amiano can reel in four interceptions on the day from his linebacker spot, it won’t do his padded game any justice. The best Louie Amiano Louie Amiano 6'0" | 215 lbs | LB/DB Roman Catholic | 2026 PA you’ll see will be on Fridays and Saturdays in the Fall. Received an early West Virginia offer after speaking to Offensive Coordinator Chad Scott. Currently ranked as the fourth-best backer in his class, a young man who possesses all the ability to take the one spot at some point down the line. His body transformation is worth noting. Every backer should be in the weight room working on bulking in the right places, yet Amiano is shredded beyond his years. He can afford to miss a few weight room days. More than anything, I’m excited to see how he communicates and moves whether it be zone/man We at PRZ will be happy to have him either way.

A very fast linebacker, Louie Amiano is already making big time plays as a freshman. With his quick, choppy feet Louie makes it a challenge for teams to run the zone run game since he is able to cover such a large territory and move laterally very well. And when it’s time to deliver the hit, Louie stuffs the run or brings the pressure onto the quarterback. Lastly, Louie’s speed really shines when in pursuit of runners. They have a difficult time getting away as he is able to catch up from behind and sweep the feet to stop the plays progression.
