This week, we're matching last week's all time high and putting the spotlight on 35 different players who stood out for one way or another!

RELATED WEEK FIVE CONTENT

– Week Five Round Up

WEEK FIVE'S TOP PERFORMERS

[player_tooltip player_id='1332241' first='Aiden' last='Jordan'] - Senior Kicker - Mustang

It's not often that we have a kicker on this feature but Mustang senior kicker [player_tooltip player_id='1332241' first='Aiden' last='Jordan'] definitely deserves the recognition. Jordan kicked the game-winning field goal as Mustang rallied to beat Enid on the road on Friday night. And what makes this game-winning kick a little more special is the redemption angle. Last week, a bad snap led to a missed field goal on a potential game-winning field goal against Moore as time expired. This week, it was redemption for Jordan and Mustang as they improved to 4-1.

[player_tooltip player_id='206204' first='Allen' last='Thompson'] - Senior Quarterback - Victory Christian

Victory Christian got a big 54-0 win over Lone Grove as the Conquerors look to bounce back from their 1-3 start against a very tough early schedule. It was a dominating win from an offensive perspective and senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='206204' first='Allen' last='Thompson'] led the way. Thompson would finish the night with nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns on 12-17 passing. He also added 72 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground. Thompson is also committed to Air Force and he'll be a player to watch in the second half of the regular season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005610' first='Austin' last='Solis'] - Senior Running Back - Mangum

Five games and five appearances on this breakdown for Mangum's [player_tooltip player_id='1005610' first='Austin' last='Solis'] at the running back position. And what's crazy is that Solis' performance in week five against Southwest Covenant might be the best of this season. Offensively, he ran the ball for over 200 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. He also added nine tackles with one of them coming for a loss. Solis has helped lead the Tigers to a 5-0 start and has clearly been the engine that has made them go in the first half of the regular season.

[player_tooltip player_id='382955' first='Brady' last='Scott'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Hilldale

Hilldale bounced back from a brutal double overtime loss to Sallisaw by beating Glenpool 48-10 on Friday night. Junior standout [player_tooltip player_id='382955' first='Brady' last='Scott'] had an excellent performance on the offensive side of the ball. He would finish with nearly 150 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns on just four catches. He also carried the ball seven times for nearly 100 yards. He's also a threat as a kick returner. Scott has emerged as one of the underrated playmakers in Class 4A and Hilldale will look for ways to get him the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Pocola

Pocola came up short in the district showdown at Rejoice Christian. But defense was clearly optional as Rejoice escaped with a 47-40 victory. Pocola's offense could not be contained, specifically in the pass game and junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] had a career night. As the Indians racked up over 500 passing yards, Hardwick would end up finishing with 20 catches for over 300 yards and a touchdown. Prior to week five, we mentioned Hardwick as a player to watch and he certainly lived up to the hype.

[player_tooltip player_id='268307' first='Brayson' last='Carter'] - Senior Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Blanchard

I don't know how many times we can say that Blanchard senior [player_tooltip player_id='268307' first='Brayson' last='Carter'] is one of the best football players in the state before it gets old. He was just that again as the defending champion Lions would survive a shootout with Bethany, winning 48-44. Carter would finish with five catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. He also had a kick return for a touchdown and two fourth quarter interceptions on back to back Bethany possessions that would secure the win. We've said this a lot over the last 14 months. Carter is one of the best.

Brogan O'Neal - Junior Quarterback - Catoosa

Catoosa junior quarterback Brogan O'Neal helped lead the Indians to a comeback victory over Skiatook on Friday night. They won 39-17 but this was a game where Skiatook jumped out on the Indians early on and they would have to rally. Once that rally began, they never looked back. O'Neal would throw for well over 200 yards and two touchdowns on 17-25 passing. But he also impacted the ground game with over 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns on eleven carries. It was a good bounce back win for Catoosa.

[player_tooltip player_id='593641' first='Caleb' last='Hawkins'] - Senior Running Back/Defensive Back - North Rock Creek

Following back to back losses, North Rock Creek got back in the winners column with a 48-0 win over Star Spencer. Senior standout and North Texas commit [player_tooltip player_id='593641' first='Caleb' last='Hawkins'] continued to show why he's one of the best two-way players in Class 3A. On offense, at running back, Hawkins finished with 100 yards and three touchdowns on just nine carries. Defensively, Hawkins forced a fumble, recovered it and ran 90 yards for his fourth score of the game. His younger brother [player_tooltip player_id='1184832' first='Tyson' last='Hawkins'] also had a big night with a pair of interceptions.

Cash McAlvan - Senior Quarterback - Tahlequah

Tahlequah won a very important game against Pryor on Friday night with some late game heroics. They kicked a game-winning field goal as time expired but it was the play of their senior quarterback Cash McAlvan that got them in that position. The senior had a great game, throwing for well over 300 yards and three touchdowns on 23-36 passing. And the senior quarterback threw an absolute dart to put Tahlequah in a position to kick that game-winning field goal. That was a very important win for Tahlequah's playoff hopes.

[player_tooltip player_id='211560' first='CJ' last='Simon'] - Senior Wide Receiver - Tuttle

Tuttle remains unbeaten in Class 4A after a 61-0 win over Madill. It was business as usual for the Tigers as the offense could not be contained and senior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='211560' first='CJ' last='Simon'] found the end zone quite a bit. Simon finished the night with just five catches but totaled just over 100 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Simon and the rest of this Tuttle offense is going to be hard to slow down and they have a big district game coming up in week six. They'll square off with a Bethany team that's hungry after a close loss to Blanchard.

[player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] - Junior Quarterback - Millwood

Millwood absolutely rolled over Jones in their 2A-1 top three showdown on Friday night. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='434614' first='CJ' last='Turnbull'] led an offense that put up nearly 50 points in the 46-13 victory. They were up 24-0 by the end of the first quarter. Turnbull threw for 182 yards and three touchdowns on 13-18 passing and he also added nearly 150 yards on the ground. Turnbull is a three-year starter and we've seen him quite a bit over the last 24 months. That was the best he's ever looked and it appears that he's taken that next step.

[player_tooltip player_id='402370' first='Cole' last='Robbins'] - Junior Quarterback - Durant

Durant got their first win of the season with a 41-19 victory over East Central on Friday night. The Lions had been close in a few games but a tough non-district slate led to the slow start. On Friday night, they were led by junior [player_tooltip player_id='402370' first='Cole' last='Robbins'] at the quarterback position. We've written about Robbins as an overall athlete quite a bit but he's emerged as a serious playmaker at quarterback. He threw for well over 100 yards and a touchdown on 10-15 passing and also added nearly 100 yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='1705452' first='Cooper' last='Mitchell'] - Junior Running Back - Metro Christian

It was hard to pick just one area for Metro Christian following their 35-0 win over Chandler. The defense obviously was on fire as they shut out the Lions in a big district win. But the Patriots rolled up and down the field and junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1705452' first='Cooper' last='Mitchell'] was tough to contain. He would finish with 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Metro Christian looks like they are in the driver's seat for the district championship and they look like a serious state title contender in 2A-1 and it starts with a balanced offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='917724' first='Darien' last='Dansby'] - Senior Running Back - Bristow

Bristow got a massive district win on Friday when they beat Seminole 58-48 and in a high-scoring affair, it was senior [player_tooltip player_id='917724' first='Darien' last='Dansby'] that carried the load offensively. Dansby would finish the night with well over 200 yards and five touchdowns on 22 carries. He also finished with nearly 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns on five catches. Dansby is no stranger to this breakdown already this season. He has the Pirates as a serious team to look out for in Class 3A. He's rolling and Bristow is rolling at the halfway mark.

[player_tooltip player_id='353415' first='Elijah' last='Thomas'] - Senior Wide Receiver - Checotah

Checotah standout and Oklahoma commit [player_tooltip player_id='353415' first='Elijah' last='Thomas'] reminded everyone why he's one of the best players in the state as they handed Muldrow their first loss on Friday night. Thomas would finish with nearly 200 yards and three touchdowns on ten catches. He also ran the ball five times for over 50 yards and a score. And he played defense, finishing with eight tackles and a pair of interceptions as Checotah won 48-45. The future Sooner is an absolute star and that was another example of how he can take a game over.

[player_tooltip player_id='242231' first='Grady' last='Adamson'] - Senior Quarterback - Deer Creek

Deer Creek has made the transition from 6A-2 to 6A-1 look like an easy one and it's helped having a star quarterback leading the way. Senior signal caller and Georgia Tech commit [player_tooltip player_id='242231' first='Grady' last='Adamson'] put up more impressive numbers as the Antlers beat Edmond North 55-24 on Friday night. He finished the night with 236 yards and three touchdowns on 16-20 passing. He also added 75 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. The Georgia Tech commit and the Antlers now shift their focus to the tougher half of their schedule.

[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Sophomore Quarterback - Broken Bow

Broken Bow is going to jump into the Class 4A top ten rankings on Sunday night and sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] is a big reason behind that. Howell has already emerged as one of the top overall playmakers in Class 4A and he dominated in their 56-14 win over Sallisaw. He threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns on 11-14 passing. He also had nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries. We're only at the halfway mark of the regular season but Howell is an early candidate for breakout player of the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='311986' first='Hudson' last='Howard'] - Senior Running Back - Washington

The Washington Warriors have now won 35 consecutive games and they look like they are primed for another run at the state championship in December. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='311986' first='Hudson' last='Howard'] had another quick performance in the 64-7 win over Marietta on Friday night. He finished with just over 150 yards and two touchdowns on just eight carries. We've lost track on the amount of times that Howard has gone for at least 150 or even 200+ yards and finished the game with just single digit carries.

[player_tooltip player_id='1550002' first='Jayden' last='Fuston'] - Senior Running Back - Piedmont

Following a tough loss to Choctaw in week four, Piedmont was able to bounce back in a major way by beating Northwest Classen 61-6 in week five. The running game was executing at a very high level as Piedmont would score a season-high 61 points. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1550002' first='Jayden' last='Fuston'] led the way for the Wildcats early on. He finished with 178 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. And with Piedmont up big at halftime, Fuston's night was over after the first half. The Wildcats are now 3-2 on the season.

Kacin Washington Mazey - Junior Quarterback - McAlester

McAlester rolled to a 60-6 victory over Edison and this game was pretty much over by halftime. Leading the way for an explosive first half was junior quarterback Kacin Washington Mazey and he had a night to remember. He threw for just over 250 yards and five touchdowns on 12-14 passing. It was nearly a perfect night for the junior quarterback and definitely the best game of his young career as a starter. Mazey would reach season-highs in completions, yards and touchdowns and McAlester improved to 4-1 on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1699033' first='Kellen' last='Hirzel'] - Junior Linebacker - Guthrie

After a 1-2 start with those two losses coming to two of the top 4A teams, Guthrie has bounced back with two straight wins. The Blue Jays took care of business against Noble in week five, winning 41-14 to improve to 3-2 on the season and more importantly, 2-0 in district play. The defense is starting to round into form and junior linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1699033' first='Kellen' last='Hirzel'] is coming off a big game. He finished the night with 12 tackles, three of them coming behind the line of scrimmage and he also finished with two sacks in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] - Junior Running Back - Valliant

Valliant has bounced back with two straight wins following an 0-3 start against a tough non-district schedule. They would take care of business against Spiro on Friday night and junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='587265' first='Kenny' last='Golston'] would shine in the win. Golston finished the night with 180 yards and four touchdowns on 15 carries. He also is starting to shine on the defensive side of the ball at linebacker as well. He finished with a handful of tackles and that came a few days after receiving an offer from North Texas for linebacker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1530089' first='Keon' last='Young'] - Sophomore Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Enid

Enid came up short against Mustang as they would stun the Plainsmen in the final minute with a game-winning field goal. But despite the loss, sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1530089' first='Keon' last='Young'] emerged as an absolute star for the Plainsmen. On offense, Young finished the night with seven catches for 100 yards but what got our attention was his play on defense. Young would finish with two interceptions and he took both of them back for touchdowns. Young is a sophomore that we didn't know much about but we're looking forward to learning more.

[player_tooltip player_id='476091' first='Mayor' last='Morgan'] - Junior Running Back - Choctaw

Choctaw has won their last two games following a tough 1-2 start and the Yellowjackets are really starting to gain momentum, specifically on the offensive side of the ball. Choctaw rolled to a 54-14 win over Putnam City and the offense scored 50+ points for the second straight week. And for the second straight week, junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='476091' first='Mayor' last='Morgan'] got loose and was tough to stop. He finished with just over 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just 16 carries. This comes after going for over 200 yards in last week's win over Piedmont.

[player_tooltip player_id='1549980' first='Milton' last='Alford'] - Senior Running Back - Putnam City North

For the third straight week, Putnam City North was victorious and for the second straight week, senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1549980' first='Milton' last='Alford'] finds himself on this breakdown. The Panthers would beat Ponca City 42-28 and that put them another step closer to the playoffs and they continue to be near the top of the district standings. Alford would finish the night with just over 150 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries. It was more of a workhorse night for Alford as the PC North rushing attack was a tough one to stop on Friday night.

Noah Goodwin - Junior Running Back - Rejoice Christian

We mentioned earlier in this breakdown how the Rejoice Christian-Pocola game turned into a track meet and defense was optional. While Pocola took to the air, Rejoice Christian countered with a dominating ground game. Junior running back had a solid performance in the win, running for just over 160 yards and three touchdowns on 21 carries. Rejoice's offensive attack was definitely a little more balanced and Goodwin had a good showing on the ground. Rejoice is now in the driver's seat for that district's crown.

[player_tooltip player_id='649663' first='Octavian' last='Roberson'] - Sophomore Running Back - Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow finally got back in the win column with a 42-28 victory over Yukon on Friday night. The win snaps a three-game losing streak but that streak came against three of their toughest opponents on the schedule. Sophomore running back [player_tooltip player_id='649663' first='Octavian' last='Roberson'] continues to show what he can do when he's on the field and that's dominate in multiple ways. He ran for just over 150 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and also added a pair of catches for 24 yards and one of those catches went for another score.

[player_tooltip player_id='587266' first='Quincy' last='Shelton'] - Junior Wide Receiver - Hugo

We saw southeastern Oklahoma's version of the "flu game" as Hugo beat Bethel 38-24 and improved to 4-1 on the season. Junior wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='587266' first='Quincy' last='Shelton'] would finish the night with well over 200 all purpose yards and he scored three touchdowns. As if that wasn't enough, Shelton also forced a fumble on defense and had six tackles. All of this while suffering from flu symptoms. Shelton has been one of the better prospects in the state's 2026 class for a while now and even when he's sick, he finds a way to shine.

Rance Ridley - Senior Running Back/Linebacker - Harrah

After back to back losses, Harrah bounced back in a major way with a 49-21 win over Tecumseh. The Panthers are now 3-2 on the season and on Friday, they were led by senior Rance Ridley on both sides of the ball. On offense, Ridley would finish the night with just over 200 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries. He was also outstanding on defense, finishing with 11 tackles, three of them coming for loss and a sack on the night. Ridley and the Harrah running game could not be slowed down on Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='479394' first='Rashaud' last='Hurt'] - Senior Running Back - Lawton Eisenhower

Lawton Eisenhower got a big district win at home on Friday night, beating Southmoore 42-35. Senior running back [player_tooltip player_id='479394' first='Rashaud' last='Hurt'] helped guide the Eagles to the win and he had a workhorse effort in week five. He finished the night with almost 30 carries and went for 133 yards and four touchdowns. Hurt had to earn every yard he got and he was a big reason why the Eagles would jump up 35-7 on Southmoore at halftime. They had to hold off the Sabercat rally in the second half and Hurt helped carry the Eagles to a big win.

[player_tooltip player_id='437049' first='Sawyer' last='Rice'] - Junior Quarterback - Duncan

Duncan snapped a three game losing streak by beating Southeast in another high-scoring affair, winning 49-42. Junior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='437049' first='Sawyer' last='Rice'] led a very explosive offensive performance in the win. He finished with 178 yards and three touchdowns on 14-20 passing. He also had well over 100 yards and two touchdowns on the ground. Duncan had a couple players on the offensive side of the ball that put up some serious numbers but we're giving the nod to Rice, who's having a strong junior season.

The Owasso Rams - All Of 'Em

So we're cheating here but it's our article so we can break our own rules. Owasso dominated Union 48-14. They are 5-0 and the clear team to beat in Class 6A-1. From the offensive line has been dominant. The sophomore quarterback hasn't looked like a sophomore as he's been flawless. The three-headed monster at running back has been potent and they have an emerging star at wide receiver. Then you have a defense that is absolutely nasty and turns you over. This team (all of 'em) deserve that recognition.

[player_tooltip player_id='211570' first='Tres' last='Lorah'] - Senior Quarterback - Elgin

The Elgin Owls are 5-0 on the year and continue to look like the team to beat in Class 4A football this season. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='211570' first='Tres' last='Lorah'] was able to shine bright in their 49-6 win over Elk City and he made a little history in the process. Lorah would finish the night with just over 200 yards and three touchdowns on 12-22 passing. But his three touchdowns were good enough to break the school's career passing touchdown record. This is the second straight year that Elgin has had a career record breaker in their offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='806158' first='Trey' last='Bennett'] - Senior Quarterback/Defensive Back - Woodland

On Friday we added Woodland senior [player_tooltip player_id='806158' first='Trey' last='Bennett'] to our PRZ-Oklahoma Player Of The Year Watchlist and he immediately came out and backed up the hype. In a 62-15 win over Barnsdall, Bennett would put in a short night as he was done and out of the game by halftime. He threw for nearly 150 yards and three touchdowns on 6-7 passing. He also had a rushing touchdown and on defense, he returned an interception 30+ yards for his fifth touchdown on the night. Bennett and Woodland now shift their focus to a showdown with Hominy.

[player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] - Junior Running Back - Perkins-Tryon

After a shutout loss to Sulphur, Perkins-Tryon was ready to get back on the field and take out their frustration on the next opponent. That happened to be Mannford and the Demons got back on track with a 42-7 victory on the road. Junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='1161913' first='Wyatt' last='Atkinson'] had a solid showing in the win with well over 150 yards and three touchdowns on just 13 carries. Perkins-Tryon not only got their offense rolling but the defense came up big in several different areas. They are now 3-2 on the season.
