was on the shortlist of breakout stars in Class 3A during the 2024 season. When it came to North Rock Creek, a lot of attention went to Tyson’s older brother Caleb, and rightfully so. But that didn’t take away from the season that Tyson had and he’s going to be a name to know moving forward. He got out to such a fast start during his sophomore season that teams started to avoid throwing his way throughout the 2024 season. Within the first several weeks, Hawkins was an absolute ball hawk and was among the state’s best with interceptions. We’re looking forward to seeing what he ends up doing for an encore this fall. He has a lot of momentum going right now and will look to build on it.

as he debuts at #34 overall and he’s right on the doorstep of being a top five defensive back prospect. When it comes to North Rock Creek, it’s easy to look at Tyson’s older brother Caleb as he’s become an absolute star. But for Tyson, he’s creating his own path this season on the defensive side of the ball. The younger Hawkins has become somewhat of a ball hawk. We had to say that as it just fits. But in all seriousness, Hawkins is one of the leaders in Class 3A and in the state for interceptions this season. Being a young DB and producing at that level has our full attention.
