The second half of the regular season kicked off this week and we've had a ton of midseason content dropping on the website. In this breakdown, we identify and spotlight ten different 2027 prospects that are still available and they are closing their high school seasons very strong. Don't be surprised if all ten end up jumping up the 2027 rankings when they come out in December. For some of these prospects, they've bloomed into true D1 prospects and others are knocking on that door.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837293' first='Ayden' last='Gaines'] - Wide Receiver - Claremore

[player_tooltip player_id='1837293' first='Ayden' last='Gaines'] made the move from Oologah to Claremore this offseason and it looks like it has paid off in a big way. He was productive last season but that production has been off the charts this fall. Gaines has found the end zone two times in every game this fall. He's scored ten total touchdowns in four different ways. He comes into this week with seven receiving touchdowns, a scoop and score on defense and he's also returned a kick and a punt for scores. The recieving TDs catch out because he's also an explosive, above the rim finishing in hoops. Gaines has been the ultimate weapon for Claremore and he's certainly a playmaker that is on the rise with his performance this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837353' first='Ben' last='Rogers'] - Running Back - Newcastle

[player_tooltip player_id='1837353' first='Ben' last='Rogers'] was on our shortlist of potential breakout stars this season because he was stepping into a new role as the marquee back in this offense. Despite being the backup, he was still very productive last season but he's taken his game up several notches this season. He has emerged as one of the better running backs in Class 5A, which is a class that's loaded with really good running backs. But he's also become a legitimate D1 prospect. He was recently offered by Abilene Christian and he has P4 programs putting their finger on the offer trigger. Don't be surprised if those come in the next few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.'] - Wide Receiver - Edmond Memorial

Our PRZ-Oklahoma staff got to watch Edmond Memorial's [player_tooltip player_id='1014077' first='Cameron' last='Quarrels Jr.'] quite a bit this offseason at various 7v7 tournaments and each time, he was one of the best wide receivers in attendance. So the fact that he's one of the top receivers and overall playmakers in 6A-1 football shouldn't be that big of a surprise. But there's no doubt that he's lived up to the hype and should be a receiver whose stock is pointed straight up with no signs of slowing down. It's been an up and down season for Edmond Memorial but through it all, Quarrels has been a leader, strong teammate and overall playmaker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837059' first='Cash' last='Keys'] - Athlete - Fort Gibson
[player_tooltip player_id='1837059' first='Cash' last='Keys'] was on our radar coming into this season because of the numbers he put up last year. He emerged in 2025 as a versatile weapon that was equally dangerous in the run game or as a receiver. Keys picked up right where he left off last season and has been putting up big numbers on the offensive side of the ball. But what lands him on this breakdown is more than the production. Keys got hurt early on in the season but has played through the pain and if you didn't know any better, you would think he's not dealing with anything. He's a guy that more college coaches should be prioritizing this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1735181' first='Chauncey' last='Cravens'] - Quarterback - Edmond North

Edmond North has been playing a very entertaining brand of football this season and it's been led by [player_tooltip player_id='1735181' first='Chauncey' last='Cravens'] at the quarterback position. Personally, I know Cravens more for his abilities as Edmond North's point guard on the basketball court but he's been excellent as Edmond North's point guard on the football field. He has been torching 6A-1 defenses all season with his arm and his legs. He's looking to guide the Huskies back to the playoffs and won't settle there. There is no doubt that Cravens is playing at a very high level and should be a '27 QB name to keep an eye on down the stretch. Unless he wants to hoop, which he's a D1 quality PG as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1831002' first='Nathan' last='Hobbs'] - Linebacker - Bixby

Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1831002' first='Nathan' last='Hobbs'] had a breakout junior season last fall and has continued that into his senior year. I watched Hobbs in person a few weeks ago when the Spartans went to Mustang. You can see why schools like Tulsa are taking an interest and offering the Bixby backer. He plays the game with such a high on-field IQ that there are times when it seems like he knows exactly what the opponent is trying to do. Hobbs also benefits from playing with arguably the best group of linebackers in the state but he's also earned his spot in that lineup and he's definitely part of the reason that makes them a top unit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837461' first='Obama' last='Bell'] - Athlete - Mustang

In that same Bixby-Mustang game, I got a chance to watch [player_tooltip player_id='1837461' first='Obama' last='Bell'] from Mustang and it's hard to find another athlete in 6A-1 that has had a bigger breakout season this fall. Bell emerged on the PRZ-Oklahoma radar back in the spring and his stock just continues to climb every time we watch him in person. Whether it was against Choctaw in the season opener or against Bixby, Bell has been an absolute menace. He has strong hands and excelled in tough catches along the sidelines against Bixby. Complete with the ability to shake off arm tackles. It doesn't matter where the Broncos line him up on either side of the ball, his impact on the game has been immense this fall. He's definitely a 2027 prospect who is closing as strong as possible.

[player_tooltip player_id='1506286' first='Ozias' last='Adams'] - Running Back - Moore

[player_tooltip player_id='1506286' first='Ozias' last='Adams'] was on the radar coming into this season but he's emerged as one of the top running backs in 6A-1 through the first half of the regular season. He's a big reason why the Lions are 5-0 for the first time in several decades. In four of his first five games, Adams has found the end zone three times, including last week's comeback win over Deer Creek. Adams is another running back that has produced at a high level against good competition. Adams has been a really talented player for the Lions for a while now but it looks like he has taken his game up to another level and has not looked back. At this point in the season, Adams looks like one of the better running backs in Class 6A-1.

[player_tooltip player_id='1184832' first='Tyson' last='Hawkins'] - Defensive Back/Wide Receiver - North Rock Creek

There's another Hawkins coming through North Rock Creek that more people need to be talking about. Everyone around the state knows the story of Caleb Hawkins at this point but his younger brother Tyson is having a fantastic senior season. Going back and looking at other write ups on the site about him, he was known mostly for his ability on defense. Which makes sense as he's also a ball hawk on the defensive end for the Cougars on the hardwood. This year, he's done everything for North Rock Creek and has done it at a high level. Whether it's offense or defense, Hawkins has the Cougars playing excellent football in a very competitive district. Older brother Caleb was overlooked coming out of high school. Don't make the same mistake here.

[player_tooltip player_id='1837321' first='Zechariah' last='Robinson'] - Wide Receiver/Defensive End - Mount St. Mary

I just got to watch Mount St. Mary's [player_tooltip player_id='1837321' first='Zechariah' last='Robinson'] in person and it's easy to see why PRZ-Oklahoma has been talking about him so much for the last nine months. Robinson is one of those freaky athletes that has a unique blend of size, speed and overall athleticism. He also was one of the highest motor players on the field. He embraces the physciality of the game with truck stick broken tackles. Plus delvering bone jarring hits for sacks and taWhen he's making plays, which happens on both sides of the ball. He also hustled a good 30-40 yards downfield to deliver a key final block for a teammate's touchdown. There are times when he looks like someone already in college playing in a high school game. Robinson appears to be one of the best available prospects in this class.
